My name is Adriano Destiny, and this is the story of how I watched it all go wrong. Now, I know I've made all these really dumb mistakes, but here's the thing: it's all my sister's fault. So maybe she screwed up or made the wrong choice, but she never gave up trying to save Falconreach. But yeah, it is all her fault. If something goes wrong, it's her fault. She caused a lot of people to die.
Like, during the war with Sepulchure, she asked a friend of ours, Corneille Crow, to go spy and the dude. She got in the castle, I know that for sure, but she never came out. It was my sister's fault. She thinks Corneille is dead, but I know different. She thinks the guy killed her, or that Corneille died when the castle-on-the-back-of-a-huge-dracolich crashed out of the sky and crap. Actually, she joined him because she's in love with him. I know. She told me. For a while we were 'neutrality buddies' or whatever. We told each other stuff. My sis didn't know what I know. I'm not telling her, either.
Then there was Lady Celestia. My sister blames herself for this, but it's not her fault. She's just being stupid blaming herself for crap that's not her fault. Don't get me wrong, she screwed up a bunch of crap, but whatever.
Then there was Beatrix Nightcreeper. Actually, this was her fault. Bea died 'cause she was my sister's best friend. Sepulchure killed her himself I heard. Sucks to be her.
Our little sister Ivanna died too. She was trying to save everyone, like Arianna always was. She wanted to be a hero, too, not "Ivanna, Arianna Destiny's little sister." She wanted to be "Ivanna Destiny, hero of Lore." I rest the blame completely on Arianna's shoulders.
And Ivanna's friend Luna, too- she died side by side with Ivanna. If Arianna hadn't convinced them they could become heroes like her, they wouldn't have been overwhelmed by undead and been torn apart like rags.
She wants you to pay for this, Sepulchure. That's why I'm standing here beside her, watching her try not to cry. She says this has to end. She thinks she and her dragon have gotten strong enough to beat you. She says she will end this war, no matter what she has to do. She says she will reduce herself to slinking around, acting like a common assassin and killing you the second your back is turned if she has to.
You laugh. I can hear you laughing. You don't think she can do it, do you? I talking to you, Sepulchure, and you had better listen. I know my sister. No one can stop her after she's made up her mind. You may want to run and hide now.
