Ok so i noticed that there were ACTUALLY fanfics of dying light and with the following coming up i wanted to contribute so enjoy and this is my first fanfic so it will suck
The day was sunny and warm but as empty and dead as always but slightly less lately, ever since the evil man know as rais was killed and a man known as kyle crane was the one who did it.
"Uugh" grunted crane as he pulled himself up into the towers main area he was greeted by a surprised rahim who was originally talking to a few runners about a new plan of some sort.
"Crane, you're back early" said rahim putting his hand out for a high five, crane replied with a slap to his hand rahim gave a smile but shook his hand in pain.
"Yeah turns out the safe zone was already blocked off, i just needed to turn on the power" crane said holding back a laugh from the boy in pain.
"Good, hey can you take this note up to jade, its for her eyes only" rahim said pulling a crumpled piece of paper. Cranes heart beaten twice at the thought of jade, it may have been the apocalypse but he was still human and with rais gone he had been given more time to be around jade which has made him realized he liked her but he knew jade would not accept since she's more worried about helping the tower then love so he spent more time on missions and supply runs to stay away from her.
"Why do i have to do it, isn't she up stairs" crane hesitated not wanting to make a fool of himself in front of his crush.
"Because i'm busy making plans now get up there" rahim said then went back to talking to the runners.
crane sighed and made his way to the elevator, maybe it would be ok.
The ride up was not to long but had a few stops do to it being old and broke but it was fine.
"Ok,crane just give her the note and walk out, no problem" crane said to himself leaving the elevator and on his way to jade's room. He opened jades door to see the runner stretching her legs.
"Hey jade here's a note from rahim and i got to go" said crane popping into the room quickly and throwing the piece of paper on to the girl's bed and then turning around to leave but was stopped by the female.
"Wait crane, there's a supply run far down in the east from here and i need someone to come and make sure i don't die" said the scorpion walking to the door.
Darnit she wants me to come with her, thought crane cursing under his breath.
"Uh, well I'm sorry but I'm busy going after a different supply run right now so bye" crane said quickly walking out of the room but was stop once again bye jade.
"And what supply run is that?" asked jade
"Um, one in the west" muttered crane in defeat.
"Good, now i will see you later" said jade and walk passed crane, with a smirk on her face
