CONFESSIONS OF A GOODY TWO-SHOES
MINI-PROLOGUE
Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, nor do I own a mind witty enough to come up with a good disclaimer.
WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE, Hinata had always been taught that eavesdropping was a bad thing. It was rude; it was disrespectful. And perhaps the best explanation: "If people want you to know something, they'll tell it to your face. Otherwise, mind your own business."
But for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to avoid it. Closed doors meant come here, and hushed whispers meant this is something you need to know.
Besides, if there was one thing actually GOOD about being a goody-two-shoes?
It was that she never got caught.
.
.
The first thing she heard was a muted whisper.
And then, "Why are you so nice to her?"
A pause. "She's super nice, and sometimes I can't help it."
"Uh-huh." The person didn't sound convinced. "Spill."
"Fine." Her voice was barely above a hiss, but for Hinata, it rang as clear as day. "Because she's smart. She has answers, and I have connections. It's a win-win situation."
A/N: Hey, new girl here. A few things about this story: It's a mini prologue, which is a lame way of saying it's still not finished. Yet. I just wanted to get things started, aaand that's why it's here.
Anyways, thanks for reading! This is my first shot at writing fanfics, so please don't forget to leave a review. Or PM me. I'd love to know what you think! (i.e. Should I continue? or...not?)
