Alex laid in her bed staring up at the ceiling. "Ugh!! Why can't I sleep!!" She cried out to the darkness. Unfortunately the darkness had no answers for her. Rolling over she looked at the clock. 1:35. Tomorrow was going to be a long day and she needed her sleep. The last thing she wanted to do was show up with bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. There was only so much make-up could hide. Her cell phone started ringing on her night stand. She grabbed it and checked to see who it was before answering it. There was no way she was going to answer it, if it was her Captain. No case was important enough to drag her out tonight.

When she saw the name of the caller she grinned into the darkness and pressed the answer button.

"Hey"

"Hey back"

"I'm glad you called."

"I didn't wake you, did I?"

"Of course you didn't" she laughed. "Did you have fun at the bachelor party? Were there lots of half naked women?"

"Are you kidding me? Mike is smarter than that, not to mention scared of you?" He replied, laughing as well.

"What? Of little old me?"

"Well he sure isn't scared of me. But, remind me to show you the cool picture of Ross."

"Tell me you guy's didn't do something stupid."

"OK, I won't tell you. Seriously though, I want to come over and see you."

"Your not getting cold feet are you?!" If he changed his mind, she thought it would kill her.

"No! No! I just want to be with you. I don't want to go to bed alone."

Alex released the breath she had been holding. "Don't scare me like that!"

"I'm sorry babe. I didn't mean to."

"I know, I guess I am just worried that you will change your mind. It took long enough to convince you that you were good enough for me the first time. I really don't want to go through that again."

"I promise, you won't. You're stuck with me now."

"You say stuck, I say blessed."

She could tell he was blushing even though she couldn't see him.

"Well...If you're sure that I can't join you then I guess I'll take a cold shower and go to bed. Alone."

"Awe... don't sound so sad about it. After tomorrow you won't ever have to go to bed alone again."

"Sleep well"

"I will now. Good night Goren. I Love You."

"I Love You too Mrs. Goren."

"Not yet. Soon"

Alex disconnected the call and settled back down in her bed. She went right to sleep while the melody to 'Here Comes the Bride' ran through her mind.
