He decided, it was time.

He bought flowers, chocolate, and a small cake, strawberry of course. It was her favorite kind, and he wanted to do his best today.

He wore his nicest casual clothes, left his hair be and left his apartment. It had been years since he realized how he felt, and he felt anxious over the topic of telling her, the most important person in his life. He had been stressing over this for years, he'd been thinking of her and her reaction constantly. Rejection scared him; he didn't want to be hated by the person he cares for most.

For the past ten years, he felt a tightness in his chest whenever he thought about telling her. He thought about all the directions it could have gone, good and bad. He thought of what expression she might make; eyebrows furrowed in anger, or just arched in surprise, maybe a smile in acceptance or maybe no expression at all. He thought of what she would do; abandon him and pretend as if she doesn't know him, or she'll accept his words and love him just as much as she does now.

With anxiety, he arrived to her door. After making final checks on hair and flowers, Len knocked on her front door, his day brightening up when he saw her smile. She accepted the flowers, asking "What's the occasion? You never do anything like this."

He smiled sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head. "Just cause. Can we talk? I need to tell you something really important to me."

They sat down in the living room, the boy rubbing his sweating hands together nervously as he tried to form his words into a sentence. She waited opposite him patiently, letting him prepare himself for the conversation. As concerned as she was, she didn't want to pressure him by pressing on it.

He looked at her features, realizing how old she's gotten since they got two different, yet very close apartments. He went over his first sentence many times, decided to be blunt about it, and took a long, deep breath. Len looked Lily in the eye, took one more deep breath and said,

"Mother, I'm gay."

BET YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING THAT

This is pretty old, I wrote it January 24th, and originally posted it on Deviantart. I also made my brother read it and he wasn't expecting the ending at all *mwahahaha*

Anyway, this is going to be here as a sorry for not updating some stories for months/years; I'm working on the next chapter of Revenge right now. I also have planned out around six to seven chapters and a lot of character backgrounds for The Abused and the Otaku. Seriously though, if you see my layout you'd be kind of overwhelmed by how many bullet points and paragraphs I have. So. Many. Words. *shudder*

Anyway, I hope this makes up for some of it? Probably not, but it's just a heads up for something new :)

Sorry once again, Review, Favorite, or Follow?
