A sharp breath stirred the deathly silent room two idols shared. Nervous blue eyes darted across the room looking anxiously for something to break the pitch black that spread itself out before him. After a few seconds of pure panic, small features began to distinguish themselves. He closed his eyes again, relaxing unconsciously tense muscles. It didn't matter what those shapes were, they broke the abyss sleep had thrown him into - at the moment that was all that mattered.

Another glance around the familiar dark shapes allowed consciousness to piece together where he was. With a sigh of relief, he rolled onto his side. He let his eyes flutter closed yet again. He was home, or at least the place he felt most at home. Yet there was one thing that made it better than that, better than home.

His roommate.

As if on cue, the familiar, calming voice spoke softly from across the room in an uncharacteristically comforting tone, "everything alright?"

He smiled, letting the other male's voice sooth him. After a long while of cherishing their mutual acknowledgment, peace, and silence, he responded simply.

"Yeah."
