In the darkness of the night,
The four will walk again.

The wolf, the rat, the dog, the stag:
One lives in fear of the monster within,
One lives in service to the monster without,
One lives imprisoned by the monsters of mind,
The last watches, beyond the grave.

Brother-friends, torn apart by war:
For war, fear, begets;
For fear, mistrust, begets;
For mistrust, lies, begets;
All echoing through the years.

On this night, the circle closes:
The abandoned will find he is alone no more,
The betrayer will find he is hidden no more,
The forsaken will find he is blamed no more,
And the dead will ride to the rescue.

At last, the truth, the full moon shows:
The true monster is revealed,
The true traitor is revealed,
The true lost one is revealed,
Though the world sees only darkness.

In the pale full-moon light,
The four will run again.
