Brittany was sitting next to her girlfriend on the couch. It was their date night and Brittany wanted to stay in and watch movies. They were currently watching 'The little Mermaid' and had been cuddling close when Brittany heard a soft snore come from next to her. Brittany thought it was just Lord Tubbington snoring but when she went to sit up and move her huge cat, a soft grunt of displeasure came from her girlfriend. Brittany quickly looked down and saw that it wasn't Lord Tubbington sleeping at all and moved back so that her girlfriend could cuddle into her side again. Her blue eyes softened as they took in the sleeping girl next to her. It was rare for Brittany to see the Latina so peaceful. She normally wore a harsh expression around all of the other Glee club members so that she could hide the gentle side that was only for Brittany to see. Truth be told, Brittany loved seeing her so vulnerable. It just proved her point that the other Glee kids didn't really know her girlfriend at all. They didn't get to see this side of her ever. The only knew the bully that tormented the other students and slept around. They didn't get to see the softness of her eyes when she genuinely smiled and how her eyes sparkled when she laughed. They didn't know that her tough exterior was just a mask to protect herself from how insecure she really was. They never saw her in her ratty sweats and no make-up looking even more beautiful to Brittany than when she dolled herself up. They didn't know that she cried for a week during the summer when her pet dog ran away. They didn't know any of this and judged her regardless. Brittany smiled down at her and brushed a stray bit of hair back behind her ear.
"Tanna?" Brittany said quietly, placing a small kiss on her forehead. "Sanny? Wake up sleeping beauty." Santana groaned and cuddled closer to Brittany's side. Brittany nudged her cheek softly with her nose and kissed along her jaw. Santana woke up, slowly, her bleary gaze falling first on Brittany and then on the room.
"Brit-Brit? I'm sorry I fell asleep. How much of the movie did I miss?" She said, rubbing her eyes to clear them.
"I don't know. It's almost finished though. Ariel and Eric are about to get married and live happily ever after. I love it when you look like this Tanna. All sleepy and cuddly. So cute. Like a teddy bear."
Santana smiled sleepily up at her girlfriend. Brittany leant down and kissed her, gently linking their pinkies together.
"I love you Tanna."
"and I love you Brit-Brit."
