Watching. Looking. Loving.

By PottersFreak

We stood feet apart.

Each in their own memories.

Feeling the pain of a year separation.

Before he left.

I knew he would return.

We stood looking at each other.

Both had changed.

Yet we looked the same.

We stood so close.

Yet so far at the same time.

The final battle had just finished.

We were both weary.

I took a small step forward.

Holding back a sob of relief.

He opened his arms for my embrace.

I let my tears loose.

Letting him know of my pain.

Taking a deep breathe.

I looked into his face.

Into his eyes.

He was tired.

There were new lines.

That did not belong there on my beloveds face.

I started to look around the grounds.

And started to remember the pain of other witches and wizards.

The blood of death eaters was spread across the grass of Hogwarts.
Hufflepuff's were healing the wounded.

Ravenclaw's started to re-build the majestic school.

Slytherin's were burning the death eaters bodies.

And Gryffindor's were being healed.

The entire school worked together.

To bring back the greatness.

That this castle now projected.

I turned back to my love.

Holding him tightly.

We slowly made our way towards the medics.

Now together I felt safe.

And knew our love would last.

We were now free ...

A/N I don't know how this format works, its partly a poem yet full of story. It is supposed to emotional the realisation of loss, life, love, and hope. I think the couple in love is Harry/Ginny, that's who I was thinking off when I wrote this, bit for you it could be anyone. I have been wanting to write something about H/G re meeting after the separation but it has not worked like I had hoped. As always I hope you can understand the craziness. I'd also like to thank everyone for the reviews of my last to fictions and as always Harry and Ginny are J.K.'s work and I only play in her sandpit. Idea is mine Enjoy, PottersFreak
