God, Where Are You?

By Scarlet Starlet of the Wind

Where are you, O God,

Where are you?

I look around and what do I see?

Disaster completely surrounds me

I've hit the bottom, my wounds bleed

God, where are you? I need thee!

The chains that constrict me

Are golden ones and filled with sinful glee

Those golden chains stop my breathing,

God, where are you? I need thee!

And now I know you're inside my soul

Now I know you can make me whole

Now I know You can break me out of those chains

And now I know you can take away pain

It took a little bickering

It took a lot of pain

It took your touch

It took your Name

It took a lot of trouble

It took your surprises,

It took a lot of mysterious thinking,

It took salvation

You gave me new life,

You gave me joy...

All I can say is thank you Lord.

That's where you are.

P.S: I know that the flamer is out there, and that their flame was only meant to get rid of Christianity - but you can never get rid of this powerful force that changes us all! So go ahead and say what you want - what can mere man do to me?

P.S.S: If you're wondering who/what the flamer is, look at the reviews for my other poem, Beautiful Praise.
