Ice-cold water cascaded over him, jolting him, spluttering into consciousness. Sharp breath hitching, he lurched awake, unable to bite back stilted groans as broken ribs screamed their protest.
Blinking wildly, he struggled to focus on the serene face regarding him so intently.
"You're awake… I missed you." She pouted. "Ready t'play?"
He flinched away, shackles straining as a perfectly manicured, scarlet-painted nail, traced his tense jaw line.
"Make any difference if I said, no?"
"Not really." She smiled.
"Then go to hell, psycho-bitch!"
Scarlet flashed, crimson blossomed.
"Sonofabitch!" He gasped.
"Need t'learn some manners!" Grey eyes swirled ebony. "Playtime's over!"
