A/N: I was in a Remus mood, since he and Sirius are my favorite HP characters I'm always writing about one or the other, but anyway, here's the story, hope you like! Please review!

His joints ached and his body was stiff. He held his head in his hands and tried to breathe in deep, even breaths, but no avail; his breaths were ragged and his throat was sore and hoarse. It was days like this that he hated the monster inside him. On the rare nights of blue moons, he didn't transform, but it left him in a painful ache mentally and physically.

He started to sweat and with a whimper, he laid himself on the bed in hopes to find more comfort. He felt his muscles twitch under his skin, feeling the slight pull of the moon, but not enough to transform. He felt like he had been laying there hours before a soft voice broke the silence.

"Remus?"

Tonks was standing just out the door, looking in with wide eyes.

Remus clenched his eyes shut and groaned at the pain again, trying to tell her to go away. He didn't want her to see him like this. "Dora," He murmured weakly.

His voice seemed to snap her out of her shocked state, and she rushed over to the bed, tripping on the rug, and kneeling next to him while cupping his clammy face. "I read about Blue Moons." She said, smoothing his hair back. "I came straight away."

He looked up at the ceiling, feeling disgusted with himself that she had seen him this way. "You shouldn't be here." He said, not looking at her face because he knew she'd be hurt.

Like he predicted, she was a bit hurt with his statement, but she knew him too well to take it personally. "Please shut up, Remus. Are you thirsty? I can make some soup or something. Would you like me to massage your shoulders?"

Remus chuckled, forgetting his pain for a moment, at her worry and ability to take so fast. He also knew that there was no chance at getting rid of her now, though he secretly didn't want her to go anyway, and he found her hand and gave it a squeeze. "You can lay with me."

Tonks nodded and lay down next to him, fitting her body perfectly against his. "I hate seeing you in pain." She whispered. "I feel so helpless, like I can't find anything to take your pain away."

He inhaled deeply, loving how her hair smelt of coconut and almonds, and kissed the crown of her head. "You take my pain away. Just being here."

Tonks smiled and rubbed his chest and arms with her palms, gaining a groan of approval from the werewolf beside her. "I love you, Remus."

He lowered his lips to hers and kissed her hungrily, giving in to his internal feral demands, and earning a moan of longing from his lover. "I don't deserve you."

She opened her eyes and glared at him. "I deserve to be happy; you make me happy. Shouldn't that be enough for you?"

Remus wondered how she made it so simple, how she made it seem so easy. He nodded his head. "I don't want to hold back anymore with you."

Tonks kissed his mouth and breathed him in. "Don't. Don't hold back."

And he didn't.

It was the morning after that he was admiring the woman next to him. She radiated love, strength, and just pure light. He loved everything about her and with a sleepy, lingering kiss, he closed his eyes and pulled her closer to her body. "I love you, too, Nymphadora." With that, he fell asleep feeling elated and complete, not noticing the woman next to him smile and cuddle closer to him.
