Jade West and Beck Oliver. An odd combination. She was intense. She loved dark colors, scissors, and thrived on other people's pain and embarassment. He was calm. A reasonable guy. He loved seeing other's happy and did all he could to help out his friends. They contradicted in so many ways, yet accented each other perfectly. No one really knew how their relationship worked, it was a mystery to all, including themselves.
It was a very distructive relationship. "Like fire and gasoline", people had always told them. Always a lethal combination. But then again, didn't they make each other stronger? She was fire and he was her gasoline. He urged her to do her best and she did the same for him, Together, they created a fire that blazed the brightest and burned the hottest. Everyone stood in awe of it.
No one ever thought the two would last more than a few months together. After all, every fire burns out eventually. Everyone knew they could only fuel that fire for so long. But, they were all proved wrong when six months passed and the two were more in love than ever. Then a year, then two, soon turning to three, and so forth. Surprising even himself, he kind of liked proving others wrong. Their relationship wasn't for others to speculate. They didn't know anything about them.
As much as the two loved each other, they were scared of love. They tried to stop themselves from falling, promising themselves that they would leave the next day. Always tomorrrow. Just to have another day together. But both knew, in the back of their minds, that no matter how hard they tried to convince themselves otherwise, they couldn't live without each other.
They lived moment to moment, there was always another tomorrow, but right then would never come again, and so, they convinced themselves that maybe, if they lived day by day, moment by moment, they could make this love they had last forever. And it seemed that it was working.
They were messed up. They were perfectly imperfect. They were two living contradictions, but that was Beck&Jade. Jade&Beck. And neither would ever have it any other way.
