Clatter.
"Tenten."
Clatter.
"Tenten!"
"Whaddya want?" the irritated girl opened her window, looking down at the boy below her.
"Its time to go training," Neji reminded her, tossing the remaining stones he was holding into the air, and catching them all again one by one.
"But it's like, 5 am," Tenten moaned, rubbing her eyes.
"Exactly. You're never going to improve if you don't train in difficult times," the prodigy scolded her, and received a glare that he could only see from the gleam of her eyes. "I'll get Lee and be back soon."
And with that, he turned and walked away.
Tenten glared after him, but she knew that she would have to go training if Neji brought Lee. She couldn't handle that sad face of his. It made her retch.
Sighing, she closed her window and curtain again, and flicking on the light, she began to dress. She had just finished putting pins into her hair when-
Clatter.
The noise made her twitch. Storming over to the window, she threw it open, preparing to yell at her pesky teammates, but her words stopped in her throat when she caught sight of the pair.
Lee was draped of Neji's shoulder.
"What's taking so long?" Neji looked up at Tenten, secretly cursing. Half the reason he got her up so early was to try to see her with her hair down, but this was one of the few things the Hyuuga had never achieved.
"What's wrong with Lee?" she asked, concerned.
"I'll tell you when you get down here."
Sighing, Tenten grabbed her shoes and bag from her bed, and jumped out of her second story window, landing on the lawn with a roll. She stood, dusted herself off, and rounded on Neji.
"I'm here. Now tell," she glared.
"It's simple, really," Neji smirked, and Lee disappeared with a puff of smoke.
"Keh?" Tenten was astounded.
"Transformed shadow clone. I just did it to make you hurry up. Lee's been training since 4," he turned and walked off, ignoring the fact that the glare Tenten was giving him could have burnt down a small house.
"Well, hurry up. I want to try a new technique today," Neji stopped without looking back, arrogance dripping in his voice.
Tenten walked quickly to catch up to him.
"Some day, Hyuuga, it'll be you catching up to me," she muttered.
"Hn. I'll believe it when I see it." It was their usual pre-training banter, and it continued all the way to training ground they were so familiar with.
Neji was right; Lee was already there, smashing disks that had been placed all around the area. He stopped when he caught sight of them.
"Greetings, my lovely teammate Tenten! I trust you are well this fine morning?" he asked jovially.
"Hn," she replied, the perfect imitation of Neji.
"Ahh, no need to be sour. Look how the sweet blossoms bloom and fall! The grace, the youth!" he spun around daintily and pranced off, continuing his spiel about the blossom.
"Is it just me, or does it get worse with each day?" Tenten muttered to Neji.
"You should have seen the farewell with Gai-sensei last evening. Hugs, tears, sunsets, the whole works. I almost threw up after."
"I am so glad I was at Sakura's then."
"Lucky," he rolled his eyes, and Lee came prancing back, not realizing his teammates hadn't been listening.
"Shall we begin? 50 laps to start, and the last finished does another 50! Then 200 push ups! And then-"
"NO!"
