E/O Drabble Challenge word: jaw
Two unrelated drabbles. Spoilers for the first one through 4.15, it's a tag to Death Takes a Holiday. Second one could be any time.
Warning: slightly TMI in the second if you are squeamish!

1. Another Lost
Pamela leaned back as she took her final breath.
Sam sat quietly staring at her, tears in his eyes.
Dean wondered what Pamela said to Sam; he wouldn't tell.
Dean's jaw clenched, looking at her body, growing cold.
Why is she dead? Why is Cole dead? Why did we come fix a problem that just caused a whole bunch of good people to drop dead?
Dean's chin trembled. He blinked; held back the tears. He didn't want Sam to see any more weakness in him.
Why was I saved? What could I have done that's better than all these people. Where are their Angels?
Silence.
2. Dean's Biggest Mistake
When Dean woke up, the first thing he noticed was that his jaw hurt.
He rubbed the joint and jiggled his jaw around.
Dude, what did I do to myself?
He tried to move, but suddenly felt incredibly tired. And his stomach was churning something awful.
Oh Shit. Dean pulled himself off the bed and just barely made it to the bathroom.
When he came out, he looked at Sam.
"You're not going to want to go in there for a while."
Sam looked at Dean without pity.
"That's what you get for eating a two pound bacon cheeseburger."
"But ... it was delicious!"
A/N: My husband totally ate that burger at a bar called Boonie's in Titusville, PA. It was scary, both to watch and the aftermath. Knowing Dean, he couldn't resist a challenge for a free burger like that.
