Pushing Me Away
AN: One of my favourite bands of all time, Linkin Park, has an extremely kawaii and meaningful song called, "Pushing me away" (Hint hint! ;) And I thought of a perfect story to go along with it. So enjoy ^o^

I've lied, to you
The same way that I always do
This is, the last smile
That I'll fake for the sake of being with you...
Takeru smiled brightly, looking towards Hikari, giving her his usual cover up smile. Deep inside him though, an anger raged, forming a harmful hatred for himself, "How are you doing today, sweetie?" He gave her a small kiss on the cheek, shuddering inside at the thought of it all.
Everything fall apart even the people we never crowd eventually break down
The sacrifice of hiding in a lie
Everything has to end and soon fine we're out of time now to watch it all unwind
The sacrifice is never knowing...
Later on, at Takeru's house, he sat out on his patio, staring up at the stars. Many thoughts crossed his mind, he was once so happy to being with Hikari. Although he knew he didn't feel the same way he used to about her. Takeru wanted to try and fake his love, so many times he told himself that he loved her, saying that it'll al work out. Lies.

Silently he began to speak to himself, "Hikari Yagami, I can't stand you anymore, I hate myself for lying to you and myself, saying that I love you but..." Later on at school he continued his speech, watching the tears build up in her eyes,"... I don't think we can be together any longer. If I kiss you any longer, I'll break down. I hope we can still be friends..."

This is, the last time
I'll take the blame for the sake of being with you
Hikari slapped him across his right cheek, causing him to bring one of his hands up to comfort the welt forming there, "You sat there, and you LIED to me for so long?! I thought better of you.." A small growl, kind of mumble escaped from her mouth after she said that.
Takeru couldn't believe what she said, although he knew she was right.

All he could do was lower his head a little, a few almost silent words came from his mouth, "I'm sorry, you have to understand..." All she did to respond was to shake her head, "No, I'm sorry it had to end this way. Good-bye forever Takeru Takaishi.." With that she walked off in the opposite direction, leaving Takeru to stand alone in the completely empty hallway. Immediately, he smashed his hand on a nearby locker, letting a small tear stream down his face, "The sacrifice of hiding in a lie..."
