Why did it come to me?
This tiny trinket of desire
Why can I not get rid of it?
Cast it away, into the fire
It seems to have a hold on me
Why will it not let go?
Why is it determined to stay here?
Why does it hurt me so?
When I see it in danger,
Why do I feel like its protector?
