The glass pane of the door sustained a crack, as it was thrown open by a guy who seemed to be in a great hurry. He burst in; and to next level, he collided to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Pradyuman.

'Whoops! My bad...' the guy said ignoring the angry face of his chief and stormed inside; straight to his desk. No sooner, he was disturbed by his comrade, Abhijeet.

Abhijeet's eyes got ten times wider as he noticed something on Daya's arm who was wearing a polo shirt.

'What's that?' asked Abhijeet.

"There goes my very beautiful morning." Daya frowned. "It's called a tattoo. I thought you know that. Don't you?"

It was a simple tattoo with three ravens inked in black.

'You're a freak. Man! Where does the idea of getting tattooed landed in your mind?'

'Jealous!' Daya said and walked away but just then, he realized that was not the end of the stupid questions.

'Good mornin' ... Umm ... Sir, did that hurt?' Fredricks questioned him watching his tattoo.

'Not really! The feeling of 2,800 puncture wounds being made per minute don't hurt.' Daya answered trying to be calm.

Fredricks just chuckled.

'Okay! That's permanent you know.'

'For the price I paid, it must be permanent.' Daya said giving an admiring look to his brand new tattoo.

Daya excused and just as he turned, Vivek was passing.

'Good morning sir! Hey. Is that real?' Vivel's eyes widened.

'No, only outline. I painted the rest with crayons.' Daya signed. Ignoring Daya's facial expressions, Vivek opened his mouth. Here we go again...

Daya wanted to hide from the stupid questions but to his bad luck, the second question landed.

'Did it hurt? Sir?' Vivek asked with concern voice.

'Nop. I was born without sensory neurons.' To avoid more stupid questions Daya stepped cafe.

Cafe Place...

Daya landed on the chair and ordered himself a lemonade for freshen' up. As he was going to sip his drink, Dr. Niyati came and took seat beside Daya. He thought that she would a ray of sunshine for his extremely terrible day but as she looked at the tattoo, she asked. 'Is that real?'

'No, it's a new magic trick I'm practicing.' Daya said trying to calm himself.

'Won't you regret...' Dr. Niyati asked his looking at him.

'You know what I, once, got in prison for killing one who asked me too many questions.' Daya said while giving a murderous look to Dr. Niyati.

'Don't try to threat me! Anyhow, I gotta news for you. The thing on your arm is Permanent. Do you know that?'

'Whatever!' Annoyed, Frustrated, Enraged, Pissed Off Daya left his home to avoid his day getting more and more dreadful.

Terms To Know...

Sensory Neurons...

A sensory neuron is an electrically excitable cell that processes information taken from one of the five senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch. The function and action of a sensory neuron is always the same, no matter what type of stimulus is being processed. Sensory neurons are nerve cells that transmit sensory information (sight, sound, feeling, etc.).

The Chemistry of Tattoos...

A tattoo needle can puncture human skin at up to 3,000 times a minute. The needle punctures the outside layer of skin and enters the dermis. When the needle makes a hole micro phage cells try to close the wound. The cells engulf the ink to destroy it then get stuck in a gel-like matrix. Over time tattoos fade as the immune system breaks down the pigment.
