Anna sat at her desk with her head resting in her hands. Mrs. Amherst, her social studies teacher was droning on about something, but Anna wasn't listening. She watched Tristan run his hands through his luscious brown hair. Anna was in 8th grade at Tucker Middle School. Tristan was the hottest, most popular guy in school. He could get any girl he wanted. Anna had liked him since she first saw him in 6th grade. She sighed. He would never notice her. He was Tristan McCabe. Anna was just an average girl. She was a loser freak like some people, but she wasn't at the top of the social ladder either.

Mrs. Amherst had passed out the homework and they were supposed to be working independently now. But Anna was watching Rachael Malone. Rachael Malone was Tristan's ex girlfriend. Her brunette locks hung just below her shoulders, straightened to perfection. Her skin had an orange glow that screamed spray tan. Rachael was the captain of the cheerleading squad; Tristan was the captain of the football team. It's like they were meant to be together.

Tristan had broken up with Rachael about a month ago. But she was determined to win him back. She twirled a strand of hair around her finger. Anna watched her "accidentally" drop her pencil. Rachael leaned down to pick it up. Giving Tristan a perfect view of her double D boobs that were practically bursting out of her low cut Abercrombie top.

Anna scowled and looked down at her homework. Social Studies was her worst subject. And with Tristan in her class it was even harder to focus. The bell rang and she gathered up her stuff and walked out of the classroom.

She was twisting the dial on her locker when she saw her best friend, Allie rushed up to her. It was hard for Anna not to be jealous of Allie. Allie was friends with a lot of the popular people and was naturally pretty. She had her long strawberry blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail and it bobbed as quickly came up next to Anna.

"Oh my god. Guess what?" Allie said excitedly.

Anna new this was a rhetorical question that didn't require and answer because either way she was going to find out.

"Sami said that she overheard Adam talking with Tyler about the Spring Fling and you'll never guess who he said he was going to ask! ME! Anna, ME! Tyler fucking Mathews is going to ask me to Spring Fling!" She squealed.

"That's great Al!" Anna replied trying to act excited.

"I know!" She gushed.

There was a pause.

"Well I have to go I have English lit next. See you later" She called as she walked away.

The rest of the day was a blur. Anna could hardly focus on her class work. And on the bus ride home Allie went into more detail about Tyler and the Spring Fling but Anna hardly heard a word she said.

"Anna? Hellooo?" Allie waved her hand in front of Anna's face.

"Huh? What?"

"You have to help me go shopping for a dress this weekend! It shouldn't be too fancy, but still cute. I was thinking maybe a turquoise color…" She trailed off.

"Oh..yeah yeah sure"

The bus stopped at Anna's house and she stood up her legs sticky from the seat.

"I'll text you later" She told Allie as she walked off.

Anna was always the first one home at her house. Her parents both worked late and her older sister was always at school or a friends house. She walked up her driveway and saw a package sitting on the front porch. She picked it up and carried it inside.

She read the label and the package was addressed to her, from California.

"It must be from Aunt Amy" she thought to herself.

Whats in the box? I guess you'll just have to wait to find out! please review!
