Ok, this has probably been done, like, a million times, but I don't care. Messaging ideas to me is much appreciated, and I find it much easier to write with ideas in mind. I never plan out the whole story. I just make it up as I go, making it easy to add in new ideas.
Dark clouds… the first sign…
Max POV
My mum, Dr. Martinez, is awesome! She found a new safe house, one that would take whoever is after us a long time to find us. I heard my door creak open, so I sat up.
"Hey Ig."
"Hi Max. You up?"
"No. I'm sleep taking. Of course I'm up!" Silence. "Sorry Iggy, what's up?"
"Something doesn't feel right. The air is colder, I can't find your mum anywhere—"
"Max! Max!" Angel screamed, running into my room, followed by Gazzy and Nudge.
"What's wrong?"
"Look out your window! Look at the sky!" Gazzy was pulling at my arm, trying to yank me out of my bed.
"The sky? What, where's my mum? Does she know? Did you have a bad dream, watch a scary movie before bed? What's the time?"
Nudge thought for a moment. "Yes, the sky. No idea where your mum is, so of course she wouldn't know. No bad dreams or scary movies." She took in a deep breath in the half-light.
"And the time is… 9:45… in the morning." Angel's face looked really scared. My heart skipped a beat, and I stood up slowly, walking toward my window. I hesitated. If they were yanking my chain… I pulled back the curtains… and this time my heart just stopped, and then it was all black…
