"Now we know who he really is I asked Esposito to look into his finances, maybe we'll see a red flag."
Castle mumbled something she didn't quit get.
"Speaking of red flags."
Robbery detective Demming came from after the white board. I was jealous of him so freaking jealous after when I saw him kiss Beckett.
"Hey Demming", I said politely.
"Hey Castle."
"So you know that little place I told you about around the corner of my beach house?"
"Mmm."
This was getting to uncomfortable for me, I really didn't wanted to hear what he was planning with her. After almost two years of hoping she would open up for me, I had enough of this. I couldn't stand the sight of her with another guy, I wanted her happy even if it wasn't with me, but this just hurt me to the bone. I asked her to go with me for the Hamptons for making sure I would write without Gina. God knows I hate the woman. But now Detective charming asked her also to go with him. She'd know him for how long? A week of two? I'd known her know for almost 2 years. I know that I make her work fun but this just made me leave the precinct and be a teenager crying for something that didn't go my way. I really needed to do that. I stood from my chair and collected my things. This didn't go unnoticed for a certain gorgeous detective.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going home, I had enough for seeing you with him", I pointed to freaking Demming.
"If he's what you want, then I can't help it than letting you go with someone I'm jealous off to make you happy, I'm supposed to be here and make you laugh without someone interrupting the case or … I don't know what to do, not forgetting that last time I was searching for you that he was kissing you and I just stood there feeling so damn hurt!"
She sat there stunned by the sincerity and honesty her best friend had used. He had said that he was jealous of Tom and that he couldn't see me anymore until Tom was here. He had a point actually, Tom was robbery and this was the homicide division, so he actually had no reason of coming here. Quickly thinking I realized that Castle was the man I wanted to be with and not Tom freaking Demming. Tom was attractive, driven and caring. Castle was another story he was ruggedly handsome, well build, a good father, he had helped me unknowing trough my mother's death, he had more and I wanted more than just best friends with him.
Ding. The elevator opened. I quickly gathered my stuff. And simply said to Demming.
"It's over asshole."
Damn that was the fastest break-up ever! I sprinted to the elevator and quickly hopped in.
"Beckett, what are you doing", Castle said slightly shocked to see me.
"Something very important."
I slipped my arms around his waist and I pulled him in hovering my lips over his.
"I like you Rick."
