Author's Note: Okay, just a one-shot here. I suck at summaries, so I won't write one. For the love of all that's holy, please don't kill me! Also, disregard the whole skin coming off of bones bit. I don't do that. Ick!

Jack watched as the two silver chalices rose up out of the pool. The mermaid—Syrena—came right after them. She handed them to Jack and ordered, "Do not waste my tear." Nodding in thanks, Jack ran over to the crushed Fountain of Youth. A small trickle still came from the crumbled rock. It was just enough to put one swallow of water in each cup.

Just as he was adding the mermaid tear to one of the chalices, an anguished cry rang throughout the cavern. "Father, no!" Angelica screamed. Jack turned around in time to see Blackbeard's hand fall from Angelica's face. He was gone. Jack rushed to Angelica's side.

"Angelica, listen to me. Never have I said these words to anyone not my family, so pay attention," Jack ordered. Angelica nodded, tears streaming down her face. Jack looked her straight in the eyes and said, "I love you. Mi amor. Mi vida. Mi corazón."

Angelica was stunned. So much so that she briefly forgot the agony she was in. She searched his face for any hint of trickery. He was very easy for her to read. However, his face was full of pain, and it was serious. He wasn't attempting to trick her.

She smiled through her pain and replied, "Te quiero, mi aves errante." Jack placed a gentle kiss on her lips. As they parted, she inhaled sharply and clutched her stomach. He grabbed the chalices. She didn't have much time. "Water," she gasped.

"Here," he whispered, handing her one of the chalices. She drank the small swallow greedily. Jack quickly gulped down the water in the other cup.

After a minute, the pain in her stomach lessened. Angelica noticed that the cut on her hand was . . . healing. "Jack!" she cried. Jack collapsed onto his side, losing strength rapidly. "Why, Jack? Por que? Why did you do it?" Angelica started sobbing, cradling him in her arms.

"Angelica," he breathed, and she looked down at him. "I'm sorry . . . about your father." Jack squeezed her hand once then fell limp in her arms.

Just as he faded away, he was able to make out something Angelica whispered in his ear. "You are my everything."
