I know it's early, but, well, I found this song… and thought it fit Lloyd in way so well that I would make a small one shot! It's also a present for my mom too.

Lloyd Wants a Mom

I want a mom to make it all better…

"Lloyd, don't cry my little cherub…" Anna cooed to her three year old son, Lloyd's crying ceased a little before his mother tried to clean the scratch he had received from a fall. It stung badly according to the toddler's loud cries.

"It hurts Mommy!" Lloyd sniffled, trying to wipe his nose with his sleeves, Anna rose up to get a tissue for him. Lloyd sat on the blanket, clutching it tight and his crying was getting a little hysteric by the time the woman returned.

"Your fine now," she kissed the bandage over the scratch, Lloyd sniffled a little, "...see?"

"Uh-huh!" Lloyd's and Anna's smile always made everything feel better in this family.

~Mom~

When she says to me she will always be there, to watch and protect me I don't have to be scared!

"Mommy?" the red clad boy ran through the forest, he didn't mean to go far and the trees blocked a lot of sunlight. It looked close to night, and he still stayed in the same spot, calling out, "Daddy! Mommy!" his voice was a bit hoarse from it too.

Lloyd began to tear up.

"Lloyd?" both parents' voices came from not too far, Lloyd's memory started to fade out just as his parents approached, "Lloyd!"

"Are you okay bud?" Zelos said, waving a hand in front of the teen's face. Lloyd snapped out of his daze, and looked at his exsphere. Something almost came to mind about his father, but it was lost when another monster tried to attack.

"Yeah," Lloyd said, still looking at his mother's memento, the monster was incredibly strong but he still kept going, "My mom's still protecting me isn't she? And watching?" everyone was hurt and even a little scared from its size.

"Sure, Demon Fang!" with the last attack, Zelos continued with the conversation, "I mean, she's in your exsphere, right?"

Lloyd contemplated on it while swallowing an Apple Gel, "You're right Zelos, and she has always been there for me."

~Mom~

I want a mom when I get lonely…

It was Mother's Day in Sylvarant, but one four year-old sat at his mother's gravestone or to him her 'bed', waiting for her to wake up and come hug him like she always did. Dirk watched the boy sadly, knowing he had lied to him and said they've just gone on a little trip.

Lloyd had lost some of his memory from the fall, but he knew who his parents were, or at least his Mother now. For some reason, he couldn't remember anything about his father and this made him even sadder. Noishe lay behind Lloyd just in case he fell asleep while waiting, again.

By the time next year, Dirk was on a little trip to go make a replica of something and Lloyd was left alone with Noishe. It was lonely yes, but as soon as his mother would pop out and squeeze him tight, he kept thinking, Daddy will come too.

At least half of that was true; his Daddy did come, thirteen years later.

I want a mom that will last forever!

At least when Lloyd was around his friends, he had every single family member there could be, an aunt, an uncle, a cousin, a father, a brother, a sister, a pet, not exactly a grandmother or grandfather, and sometimes a mom.

Raine was very motherly to Lloyd at times, but very wasn't always enough. Deep in his mind, Lloyd would want his mom in the flesh, not in the exsphere but he knew she wasn't coming back. Maybe this is another similarity between him and Mithos; they wanted someone they loved back.

Except, Lloyd accepted that his mother wasn't coming back, and after Lloyd will destroy the exsphere, she would always be there.

Always.
