Those eyes. Those blue dark eyes, staring wide, and fierce, right at me. I wanted so dearly to look away, and forget they were there, but I simply couldn't. Then I could hear it. The thundering and booming sound of paws, dropping to the forest floor, and beating and trampling over leaves. His ears pricked too, and I watched his fur stand on end on his back. We would soon be corner, I could tell, and I was soon to be proven right, but he wouldn't have it, so he shifted his nose in the direction of the moon, and I watched the white mist surround him, until he was an owl, the color of snow, with the same blue fierce eyes, and he flew up circling me. I felt the fire in my throat, but I wasn't going to let it out, not yet, at least. So, I sprinted, with him flying ahead like a flying compass, showing me were to go.

They were gaining on us, I could still hear it. Their grunts of triumphant when they could see my shadow in the moon light. He hooted, and circled faster, telling me to speed up. I had no chance, none at all, this field, this enchanted field of forest, was soon going to become a battle ground, with only me and him as the warriors of the other team. I stopped, dead in my tracks, and he too knew what would be coming, so he fell to the ground, and again turned into the silver colored wolf again, his fur still standing up straight. They all stopped, and stared at us, waiting I guessed. They should have known I wouldn't give up there, but I couldn't think about them, I had to focus. I channeled the fire, which was just waiting in my throat, ready to be unleashed. I opened my jaw, and pointed my nose up to the moon, and then I howled, and unleashed the fire. It danced at my fangs, and then circled around me and him. I let it spread; let it slither around the enemies' paws, as if they were simple toys. They howled in fear as the fire reflected in their eyes, and I watched. He poked his nose into my fur, and pointed toward a gap in the trees leading toward the way out. I followed still concerned, looking back. They were breaking the flames. More fire was in my throat, but I didn't keep it in, I unleashed it all, just hoping it would be enough.
