Johnny looked around, playing with the shark lighter in his hands. He looked back, staring at the Institute, avoiding being near Bobby and Rogue, for fear of getting jealous. He was used to being alone, but it didn't mean he wanted to be. Johnny flipped open the lighter, lighting the flame and taking it in his hand.
"Quite a trick," he heard a girl's voice say from above. He closed his hand, extinguishing the flame and closing the lighter with the other. He looked up to see a dark dressed girl. She had black ripped stockings, a black tank top, and a distressed, dark wash denim skirt. Her black combat boots went up her calf, almost to her knees. She had dark hair with dark purple bangs that covered one eye and deep purple lipstick.
"Who are you?" Johnny asked harshly as he stared at her.
She jumped down. "What's it to you?" she asked defensively. Johnny shrugged, but still stared at her, nearly a glare. "I'm Cally," she said, hands on her hips, "Who the hell are you?"
"I'm Johnny. You a mutant?" he replied. Cally nodded and smiled. "What's your power?"
Cally smirked. "Come here and I'll show you," she whispered. Johnny looked at her and walked over slowly.
"What are you going to do to me?" he asked just as she was about to touch him.
"Just wait," Cally told him. She touched her hand to his face. At first he didn't realize what had happened, but then she grabbed his lighter from his hand. Cally flicked it open and lit it. She took her hand from his face and took the flame in that hand.
"What the-…" Johnny tried to say. He looked at her. "You have the same power as Rogue… Only, different…"
Cally grinned. She put out the flame in her hand and the one on the lighter. "That's true, my power is like Rogue's. In fact, people where I was from called me Rogue. But I can't hurt people with my power. I take theirs, I get a couple memories, but I can't suck out life."
Johnny grinned. "Whaddya say to a soda?" he asked her. Cally smirked again and nodded.
"Is this supposed to represent a date?" Cally asked. Johnny considered the question for a moment.
"Maybe. There's not much in the way of dating where everyone lives with each other. But I guess you could put it that way," Johnny replied, a grin on his face. She just looked at him so he just grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the Institute building. He grabbed his lighter from her hand and put it in his pocket.
"Good to know," Cally said, smiling. "But why would you want to date me? I'm just your run of the mill mutant. What did I do to deserve you? I just got here," she finished.
Johnny just smiled. He pulled her close. "Because, there's just something about you," he said with a smirk. He kissed her hard, pulling her as close as he could, not caring who saw.
Cally pushed his chest with her hands. Johnny moved back, a tingling feeling still on his lips. "Maybe we should go get that soda," she said. Johnny smiled.
"But you wouldn't care if I did it again in the near future, now would you?" Johnny asked. Cally smirked and nodded at him. Johnny looked at her flirtatiously. "Fine, don't expect fair warning," he said. With that, they turned and headed towards the school building. Johnny's hand slipped down from her lower back to her back pocket, squeezing slightly. Cally jumped slightly and looked at Johnny. "What?" Johnny asked innocently.
Cally smirked. "Bit forward there, Johnny. Way to jump on the new girl," she said. Johnny shrugged and smirked, looking straight ahead.
