Ever wondered what happens when their hair gets too long? They spend most of the year at a boarding school, what happens when their hair gets too long? This came about from my own hair troubles and the creativity that comes from school holidays.
I own NOTHING!11!1
The group of teens groaned as one. They were standing in a line outside the Hospital Wing, waiting for their turn. It was the worst time in six weeks. It happened every six weeks, of course, this was an optional thing, but most of the students went along with it, if only to keep their hair healthy. As another sixth year left the Hospital Wing, the line moved forward slowly. Harry walked through the doors and took the empty seat in between Hermione and Lavender. Both were giggling about something, but stopped when Harry sat down.
"Hello ladies" Harry smiled, as a man levitated some hair-care products over.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Potter. What are you looking for today?" he asked, bored out of his mind.
"The usual will do just fine, thanks" was the reply, as the protective cover was draped over his shoulders.
Harry watched as the girls were lead somewhere else and a new person sat to his left.
"I don't see why we need to do this the muggle way." complained a familiar blonde.
"Mr. Malfoy, you of all people should know why we do it this way" said the man trimming Harry's hair carefully.
Malfoy scoffed and Harry had to stifle a laugh.
"Think it's funny, Potter?" Malfoy asked, turning to face Harry.
"Actually, Malfoy, I do. Just because you don't like muggles doesn't mean you can use magic to cut hair, when it could miss and slice your neck open instead." Harry retorted.
"How would you know that Potter?" Malfoy asked.
It was Madame Pomfrey who answered that question "Potter has seen some gruesome things, in his time in the Hospital Wing. He has also been victim to some misguided spells." As the man cutting his hair turned away, Pomfrey lifted his hair to reveal a thin line running along his neck. "Potter has been victim to a stray cutting spell that was aimed for his hair. Took a right long time to heal too." She dropped his hair and pushed Malfoy towards a different chair.
Harry sighed as his chair was turned so he faced his hairdresser. He shut his eyes as he pulled the glasses from his face and let the man trim the front and sides of his hair.
"Alright, Mr. Potter. I shall see you in six weeks." Said the man as Harry put on his glasses and shook the loose hair from his robes. He glanced towards Malfoy, who was leaning back as Pomfrey rubbed bleach through his hair.
Harry walked from the Hospital Wing and nodded to Ron, who was next in line. "Good luck, mate" was said as he walked past and down towards the Great Hall, Free for another month and a half.
