Okee dokee, so this takes place at the end of season five. I just decided to reject the existance of Lisa and instead made a fic about who Dean should have really stayed with after Sam... umm... went on vacation.

So anyway I'm just playing with Dean's uncomfortability with his emotions and Cas's blind devotion (even if that was a little less so towards the end of the season). Hope I got them in character. Please enjoy and review. Love ya!

Things were about to get complicated and not in the "oh shit, I can't believe this is really happening way" but in the way where all you can do is allow your jaw to drop and pray for the best to come in the end. Yeah complicated in the sorts that most people would just LOVE to never have to deal with. But then again, end of the world and all, that didn't matter much. I mean when lucifer was breathing down each of their throats and angels were even worse the last thing on any of the rag tag teams mind was 'complicated' matters.

At least that was the reasoning Dean used as seconds ticked loudly by and still did nothing about his current situation because honestly he didn't really feel like it. Because right at that moment he felt good. Actually, not good but great, amazing, FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC. He had been wanting this for too long and now that he finally had it within his grasp he wasn't going to give a bit of it up. He deserved that much for saving the world.

And as he stared into wide blue eyes watching him with complete trust and uncondonditional love he knew that this was perfect.

So instead of standing up from where he had tripped and fallen onto his angel, Dean lean forward and slowly closed the distance between the two of them. He stopped just for a second, to feel Castiel's breath ghost across his lips and relish in the warmth before forcefully pressing their lips together. He waited a moment, giving Castiel a chance to get over the shell shock before he began to deapen the kiss.

It was slow at first but Dean gently guided HIS angel. He lightly nipped Castiel's lower lip and the other hesitantly gave him entrance allowing the elder winchester to take the lead. Slowly, both received the rythem, though, and their tongues began to dance together until Dean pulled away for lack of air.

Dean gasped, taking in the other's scent and warmth. He leaned his head against Castiel's and looked into his eyes, losing himself until he was brought back to reality. "Dean..." His angel barely whispered his name and it was evident that he needed him to tell him what was happening.

"Hey Cas." It was the only thing Dean could think to say. But as the confusing and worry remained on Castiel's face he fought to find something more. "I...uummm... I guess that I should probably tell you that I... umm really hate goodbyes and well..." He cleared his throat nervously. "Well I'm just trying to tell you that if you taking your nerdy angel ass back up to the perly gates I'm going to be really pissed. So... you better not leave me... or else." Dean could feel his face growing bright red as Cas watched him unblinking for what felt like hours.

Then a small smile quirked at the edges of the angel's lips and he leaned forward, planting a small kiss onto the human's lips before whispering in his ear. "I love you too Dean."
