Chapter 1: The Beginning of the end
The icy water was forced down my throat and into my lungs. Water surrounded me and forced me down deeper and deeper into its icy depths. By this time my lungs were burning. I needed air. I tried to kick my legs and move my arms but I was too weak. I knew then that I was going to die, but I couldn't do anything about it. I was slowly slipping into unconsciousness but just before I went completely, I felt skin like ice grab me. That was my last memory.
Before I was freezing and begging for warmth, now I was burning and freezing. How was that possible? One side of my body was hotter than fire, I wanted the coldness badly. But then on the other side of my body I was cold and stiff. I thrashed wildly against the burning and coldness, but once again I felt cool strong hands restraining me. The burning and freezing went on and off switching back and forth. Finally the pain slowly (very slowly) stopped and I opened my eyes.

After I awoke I could see every detail or everything. I sat up quickly and I mean quickly! I noticed that there was a burning in my throat, it wasn't as bad as what I had experienced before, but it still wasn't pleasant.
Then I noticed how clear it was. I could see everything. I could hear everything. What was going on? I thought. I stood up and looked at my hands all in one swift motion, they were pale. I usually had a pale complexion but this seemed almost white. As I looked at my hands I also noticed my veins. The veins in my wrists were blue, not normal blue, but very, very visible dark blue lines.
"Good you're awake. Sorry I wasn't here, I got a bit hungry. You know waiting for you to wake up isn't exactly fun." She explained to me.
"Um, excuse me ma'am but," I hesitated noticing the sound of my voice. It sounded like I was singing, like a thousand wind chimes.
"Oh I'm sorry, I'm Miranda!" she chirped. She was very pretty with orange hair and golden eyes that sparkled. Her skin was pale, like mine now was. I also noticed that she too had the blue veins in her wrists. I also saw how her skin sparkled, well not sparkled really, more luminous than anything. I looked at my skin again and noticed it did the same.
"What's going on?" I chimed. I wanted some answers, I had no idea where or even what I was.
"You are a blue blood and a vampire, you were dying, I made you one of me. This is kinda….. hmmm, the beginning of forever. That's it in a nutshell. But right now you need to eat something. Your throat is probably burning like crazy."
"Now that you mention it…" my throat suddenly throbbed in pain, I gasped and my hand went, quickly, up to my throat.
"Follow me." She smiled and was gone.
