Sometimes he wondered if lying to them was such a great idea after all.

Roaming the hallways to check for any weak spots in the castle, he'd spot Mimi and Dimentio arguing over something petty again. Usually, Mimi would win said argument, or Dimentio would taunt her and run off, laughing. Other times, Nastasia would be scampering down the halls, barely visible behind the tons of paperwork she had, though he never understood what the paperwork was for.

In the kitchen, O'Chunks was usually attempting to prepare some sort of dish for them, though most of time Nastasia had to run in to stop him from burning down the entire kitchen again. Sometimes Mimi would pass by and try to help him, if only to get Dimentio's attention. Occasionally, everyone would sit around the quaint table, enjoying a meal like a family, if not a rather odd one.

Passing by the living room, he could hear Mimi and Nastasia playing some sort of card game, gossiping about the affairs within the castle or what they would do to the man in red when the time came. Mimi usually described a violent yet slow death, while Nastasia opted for a quick, painless end, if only to save him from her 'true wrath.'

Sometimes he wondered if lying to his family was worth it after all.

Haha, what? I'm not dead? To be honest, I took a long break, mostly to get over some personal issues that were eating me from the inside. Also, I think I might stop writing WAWD due to the fact I haven't touched the series in a few months(?), and I think I'm more comfortable writing short and sweet fanfiction right now. Though, the idea of writing a mini series doesn't sound to far-fetched, but we'll have to wait and see. Ciao!
