SPN100 Drabble Challenge (...my first one)
Prompt: Use the title of a Shakespeare play
Word count: More than 100
Inspired by Blackadder. I'm guessing classically trained thespians fear curses...
"Macbeth!"
Dean was ambushed by the likenesses of Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, and Puck, all angered by the mention of the cursed play. The tempest of hits sent him huddling on the floor.
"You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I'll tickle your catastrophe!"
"What?"
The cruel fairy launched a sharp kick to his ribs.
"Sam!"
Dean endured the assault, covering his head until, with a whoosh, all three figures dissolved into flame. Sam rushed in, sweaty and breathing hard.
"Sorry."
"What the hell took you so long?!" Dean struggled to his feet, wincing as he held his side.
"Romeo and Juliet tag-teamed me while I was salting the costumes."
"Well, I had a lot of fun getting the ever-loving crap kicked out of me," Dean smiled achingly. "Great idea."
He gave a sarcastic thumbs up.
Sam shrugged. "Saying 'Macbeth' was the only distraction I could think of."
"Luckily it worked." Dean groaned, "Angry obsessed freaks."
He scowled at the flowery 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' billboard as they ditched the empty field.
"Sammy?"
"...Yeah?"
"No more Shakespeare festivals... Ever."
"Sure, Dean." Sam smirked, tongue in cheek, "As you like it."
Ending with 192 words. Please forgive...
