Summary: Set after Smile Time, this little one-shot involves Wes and Fred being interrupted. (I'm sorry the summary is so bad…;)

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Characters and settings belong to the one and only, Mr Joss Whedon.

Note: This is just a little one shot I was thinking about while I was working. (I know, not the most responsible thing to do, but I was stacking shoeboxes so I had to think of something!) Anyways, It's set after Smile Time, and is basically what I wanted to see if Fred hadn't died and things were 'normal'. Ah…. Dreaming of what could have been…

INTERUPPTIONS:

Fred was sitting at the desk in her office, forking through the immense load of paperwork that had just been dropped off. She was halfway through signing a document relating to the time shifting machine, when there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." She said, without looking up.

The door creaked open and Wesley walked in, shutting the door behind him. Fred looked up and saw him; she smiled.

"Hey there." She said, standing up. Wesley walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hello" Wesley replied before leaning down and kissing her. Fred placed her hands on his shoulders, as they broke away and touched foreheads. "How are you?" Wesley asked, a grin forming on his face.

"At the moment, certainly not complaining." Fred replied, smiling.

Wesley broke away from her gaze and looked behind her at all the paperwork cluttered on her desk. "Paperwork?" he asked.

Fred sighed and let go of Wesley. "A boat load. Defiantly not a plus of working with so much evolved technology."

Holding her hand, Wesley smiled a seductive smile at her. "Want me to make it better?"

Fred turned to face him and grinned. "And how would you do that?" She asked, slyly. Wesley leaned down and kissed her again. Fred began to gently rub his shoulders as he moved down and began kissing her neck.

"Wes, you know we gotta stop." Fred said softly, her eyes closed. "Why?" Wesley asked between kisses.

"Cause were workin' and…-Ok, continue." Fred gave in as Wesley continued kissing her neck. Wesley moved back up to her cheek as Fred caught his mouth in her own.

They were kissing passionately for a few minutes, quite oblivious to the fact that there were footsteps heading up the stairs.

The door opened and Knox walked in as Fred and Wesley broke apart quite abruptly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll – just – go…" Knox turned and walked out, looking at the floor, flushed at the fact that he had seen Wesley and Fred in the intimate position.

Fred and Wesley stared at the door then looked at each other, Wesley still holding Fred's hand.

"I told you we should have stopped."
