Shizuma quickly left the building. She had just given flowers to the competing couples and…after giving the bouquet to Amane, she had looked into Nagisa's eyes. Well, stared. Nagisa's eyes had been telling her that she'd made the right decision, that giving up the red-head had been the right thing to do. Those eyes had thanked her deeply for setting the young girl free. She had so needed the assurance, the certainty offered by the young girl's eyes that she had needed a word from Tamao to come back to reality and continue her task.

Now she was wandering from place to place, visiting all the sites that were special to her. The greenhouse, the grand piano, and finally, the tree. The tree which was her and Kaori's place. Shizuma's feet had taken her here seemingly on their own, she hadn't thought about where she was going. The tree. It was connected with Kaori, always Kaori. She had come here so often after her fellow Etoile's death, she had cried, had brooded, had challenged God Himself. And had always been found by Miyuki. Miyuki, who had held her, had calmed her, had reasoned with her. Done whatever she had needed. Remembered Kaori with her. Leaning against the rough wood, Shizuma let her mind roam. It roamed right to one face, blue hair, gentle brown eyes.

"Miyuki…" The name escaped her lips against her will. Suddenly she knew what she had to do. There was a reason why only Miyuki's face appeared. Now she knew the reason. Hoping that it wasn't too late, Shizuma turned and ran.

Panting, she reached the cathedral, stopping only a moment to catch her breath before tearing the door open forcefully.

"Miyuki!"

Every head in the room snapped around, catching sight of the emerald-eyed beauty standing in the open doorway, her long, silver hair blowing in the cold wind.

With long, purposeful strides, and a determined look in her green eyes, Shizuma walked along the aisle to the front of the cathedral.

"Miyuki!" She stretched out her arm. "I love you!"

The cathedral fell utterly silent.

Miyuki stood on the stage, not believing what she had just heard.

'I must be dreaming. This simply can't be true.' she thought.

"Miyuki!" Shizuma called again.

"But..but…" Miyuki stammered.

Chikaru gently pushed her. "Go on, Miyuki-chan."

The blue-haired girl looked at the silver-haired beauty, the outstretched hand, the expectant green eyes. Her dream about to come true. If she dared take the chance. A smile blossoming on her lips, she took the first hesitant step forward. Then another. And another. Then she was running, hurtling herself into Shizuma's waiting arms, which embraced her tightly.

"Let's go." whispered Shizuma a felt eternity later.

Grabbing the president's hand, the former Etoile took off.
