A/N: No, I totally did not start this at the last minute… not at all. Psh, I hate writer's block. This is for HOA oneshot day! This is a Jara fanfic and it's going to be really fluffy~ Yay for Jara fluff! It's also AU because I am not creative enough to write it not AU. So it's summer related, Jerome and Mara are neighbors. First date! Yay! Wee, I'm so lazy and have writer's block this will probably be short and be considered more of a drabble than a oneshot. -le creyz- Okay, okay. Just read now.
It was about 5 o'clock and Mara was home alone. Then, she heard the doorbell ring. She walked down the stairs and opened the front door, to reveal Jerome, her boyfriend, standing there.
"Hey." Jerome simply said, smiling at his girlfriend.
"Hi," Mara said back, smiling back at him. "What are you doing here, Jerome?"
"Well, I was thinking," he started to say, and shrugged his shoulders. "We should go on a date, since it's summer."
"Like a first date?" Mara questioned.
"Like a first real date." Jerome corrected. Mara slightly giggled.
"Okay!" she agreed. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see," he said. Jerome leaned in closer to Mara and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. He pulled away and smiled at her and she smiled back. "Well, come on then, Jaffray." Jerome took her hand and Mara followed. They walked over to his house, which was just across the street. They walked over to his car, Jerome opened the passenger side's door for Mara. Once they were in the car, Mara turned to Jerome.
"Now are you going to tell me?" Mara asked.
"Nope." Jerome simply replied, a smirk on his face. He started the car and drove away from the street.
About an hour has passed by now; Jerome and Mara were still in the car. The music was playing and the two of them were just talking and laughing. They talked about school, summer vacation, Anubis house, and their relationship. Finally, Jerome pulled into a parking lot.
"We're here." Jerome told her. Mara looked up and studied where they were. She noticed water, sand, the place was empty.
"We're at the beach." she stated.
"Yup," he nodded. "I thought it would be romantic. You know, a walk on the beach."
"Well, you are a romantic person." Mara giggled.
"Mm, a very romantic person." Jerome said, and chuckled.
They got out of the car and started walking.
Another hour had passed by as Mara and Jerome walked on the beach. They held hands, swinging back and forth and they were talking the whole time. It was getting dark out and the sky was dim. Suddenly, they stopped walking and turned towards each other.
"Today was really fun, Jerome." Mara told him and she smiled, showing that she really was happy.
"That's great to hear," Jerome said. He cupped her face in his hand and smiled back at her. Jerome leaned in, capturing Mara's lips with his and they kissed. The kiss lasted a while until he pulled away. Mara smiled again and bit her lip. "I love you, Mara." he said.
"I love you too, Jerome." Mara said to him and then they kissed again.
A/N: Omg, this was a terrible story. ;-; And so short too, like the shortest story I ever wrote. And it's rushed and ghdjsdsgfhdskjsah. My first Jara story I ever wrote was better than this. Oh well, it's for hoa oneshot day and that's all that matters.
