Yeah, I know, I'm clearly (again) in no position to be starting anything new, but honestly Amusing Lies is so difficult, I've been stuck on it for so long! The final chapter is written but I don't know how to get to it! So after reading Battle Royale and loving it (and the movie and the sequel too), this popped into my head.

It's rated T for now, but expect that to change. I just wanted to introduce the story on the main page, but it'll be M very soon. I warn you, it'll get pretty violent.

Leave me some love notes! ...or reviews. Reviews love!

Three days. After three days of hell, it was finished. The best friends stood with the help of one another, and surveyed the landscape silently.

Bodies dotted the hill on which they stood, which sloped into a large forest that ended at a beach. They could hear the ocean from where they were at. It was faint, but they could hear it.

They were exhausted, and both their bodies were covered in deep cuts and bruises. Two holes bloodied one's shoulder, while the other's left eye was swollen shut and bleeding.

It was close to one in the morning, and the two breathed heavily. Neither said a word. One glanced down at his watch. The other just stared out at the sea.

Before one could ask the other, "So what now?" a loud beeping noise started. In terror, the two realized the beeping was coming from the thick metal collars around their necks, accompanied by a blinking red light. Eyes wide with fear, they stared at each other. The rhythm of the beeping doubled.

One grabbed for the Colt Python tucked into his belt, while the other ran to the nearest body to find a weapon—his had been lost in the fray just minutes before. The first shot at the second, who let out a cry and fell to the ground just near a Browning Hi-Power that seemed to have been placed right there in front of him by God Himself. He grabbed the gun and turned. Two more shots rang out into the air, and the both boys just stared at each other, neither sure if he'd been hit or not and too afraid to fire once again.

After what seemed like forever, the pain rushed in, and the first fell to the ground. The second struggled to get up and ran to his friend, who wasn't moving.

"Liam?"

He didn't receive a reply, so he fell to his knees and grabbed his friend, turning him over. "Liam?" The beeping on the collars had reached a rapid pace, with less than a minute to detonation, thus ending the lives of the final survivors.

The young man was still breathing, but just barely. The bullet had lodged itself in his chest, right under his throat. His eyes opened. He looked up at the boy he loved as his brother and gave a faint smile.

"Thanks," he managed weakly before going limp.

After three excruciating days, there was finally a winner.

The beeping stopped, and the red light went dim.

The boy broke into sobs.

Game over.
