-I just could not resist making this! Though, as of right now I am not planning at the moment to turn this into a full fledges story, I might.

Truth

Cameron rubbed his eyes. This was not happening, this was not happening. He looked back up, only to still see the stack of personnel filed. It wasn't a bad dream. It was real, and he still had yet to find a way to convince Daniel to stay, he couldn't deny the fact the man really wanted to go, but Cameron felt he just needed to stay. Closing his eyes again, Cameron wished something would make Dr Jackson stay. The blare of an alarm pulled him out of his thoughts, and he was even more surprised when General Landry walked into the room.

"Come on son, I want you here for this."

Curious, Cameron jumped from the chair he had occupied and followed Landry. Heading for the gate room, he automatically became more interested. Standing at the base of the ramp, he cautiously waited for whoever was arriving. The woman who came through the event horizon was not someone Cameron expected to see. For some reason, he felt reassured when the men stepped through behind her. Having to confront the woman, dressed the way she was, was not something Cameron wanted to deal with. Unfortunately, he actually was. After her flirtatious greeting, the woman headed down the ramp. Without realizing it, Cameron choked out a compliment about her outfit. Thanking him, she took several steps away from the ramp before turning to face them again.

"Now, where's my Daniel?"

Cameron didn't think he was ready fro anymore surprises today.

Having heard Vala was on the base, Daniel was ready to make sure it didn't stay that way. But, having heard she apparently carried a mysterious tablet, he found himself forced to go talk to her. Damn his over whelming sense to study anything Ancient! It just was not fair. Taking a deep breath, Daniel stepped into the briefing room, and clapping his hands together turned to Vala. Straight to business.

"Where is it?"

"Nice to see you too."

"The tablet, where is it?"

She sighed. "There is no tablet."

"What?" He had wasted time enough just talking to her, and now it was even a bigger waste.

She leaned forward from the other side of the table. "I'm pregnant."

Daniel's arms dropped to his sides. "Shit."

"Dr Jackson!" Landry shouted.

Cameron raised an eyebrow, perhaps one more surprise was enough.

- Yea, Daniel swearing isn't very characteristic, but ya know, if you just learned that, and knew there was a large chance she was telling the truth, you would be a little un-characteristic yourself. Since I don't have the time right now, I'd like to issue a challenge to anyone who wants to write a story revolving around the fact Vala was, in fact pregnant. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little 'scene'.
