A/N: A new story, yippie! Got the idea while reading a story from 4me Jasper. I decided to give it my own spin on it. She planted the start of this project in my head.

It will probably all be one-shots or mini series centered around the same concept: social media in Forks, like facebook, twitter, instagram and how that influences the lives of the Twilightcharacters.

Thank you to Jezzeria, who preread and beta'd this first chapter.

Disclaimer: The only thing I own is this story and the plotline. The characters, settings, ... belong to their respective owners.

Preface

I don't know how or when exactly social media found its way into our rainy, little town of Forks.

I think it began when people from the city started to see this rural secluded town as a perfect get away from their hectic lives. For us who live here, Forks didn't have much to offer. It was quiet and boring where nothing ever happened.

Everyone knew everyone and the most exciting news came from gossip and made-up stories. The diner and high school where buzzing with it, but that was it. The only topic that stuck was the Cullens. The 'kids' never did anything to draw attention, always staying on their own. That itself was suspicious enough for everyone. Mrs. and Mr. Cullen participated in the community as best as they could. The 'hot-looking doctor' gave the nurses at the hospital something to chatter about.

People could be very obnoxious when they are bored. Their gossip and stories weren't even creative anymore.

I was very happy to be the only who really 'knew' the Cullens.

We lived very secluded in Forks, so we didn't experience the hectic way of life from the cities. Being such a quiet town, it was very strange to see new faces in the streets or having meals at the dinner

They were always people with coolers and sunglasses complaining about the rain. I guess they mistook Forks for a sunny resort. They didn't stay long. Others were better prepared and stayed longer. They hiked through the forests, explored the town and docks. Some even tried canooning in the Sol Duc river.

They all had one thing in common though: their love of cameras. They took lots and lots of pictures. This made it difficult for the Cullens sometimes. The less they were photographed by tourists, the better.

Some people in town were struggling to keep their head above water, saw a solution in the tourists and opened little shops; gift shops.

I think this was the start of technology progressing. That and the people who gossiped the most were very interested in iPhones and iPads and other technological stuff. It's not that we didn't have it before, we just didn't use it as intensely. Before it was just used for school purposes or own research and curiousity.

Now almost every highschooler has an iSomething. The gossipmill had a new and fresh input, making the gateway to more gossip wide open…

So, what do you guys think of it? Is it any good? Worth continuing? Let me know... Need the feedback as this is just something I'm trying. Whatever you think of it, all welcome
