~Shooting Stars~

"Sebastian, you shall pave my way;

Find my enemies and make them pay.

You will grab the moon and make it mine,

And I will shoot the stars that shine.

I shall watch as they all fall down,

Dirty, bloody, to the ground.

I'll steal away all their pride,

Just as they have stolen mine."

"My what a lovely mess,

I should have expected nothing less,

From my master, who is but a child,

So full of whims and devilish wiles."

"Be quiet, Sebastian; hear my order,

Never leave my side, lest this disorder,

I call my life shall be without these stars;

Without their light in my iron bars."

"Master, is this weakness I hear?

Your voice betrays your every fear.

I thought you loved the dark of night,

Where the monsters and devils come out to bite.

Surely, I have thought you would belong,

As you sing the phantom's crushing song.

Do you miss the light of day?

Do you wish, for your soul, to pray?"

"Have you forgotten who I am?

I am a wolf dressed as a lamb.

I gave up faith so long ago,

When I tamed Hell's blackest crow.

I fear not the dark of night,

But still I need the stars' bright light.

For how am I supposed to see,

My enemies' bodies, dead at my feet?"

"My lord, why is your countenance so?

Filled to the brim with matchless sorrow.

Behind your eyes, it is so clear,

The recollections that you still fear.

Nevertheless, I shall remain,

By your side, within your veins.

Close your eyes and you shall see,

My face burned into your memory.

For I am your knight, and you are my king;

I shall protect you from death's sting.

Always, by your side I'll stand,

Until your very last grain of sand.

By your side, I shall stay,

Shooting all the stars down your way.

Until the whole sky has been shot down,

Until the stars bleed on the ground,

Until you're clothed in their sweet light,

I shall be their darkest blight,

And I shall be your brightest night."

"And then what, Sebastian, what will you do?

Leave my side, my soul consumed?

Snuff out the light in my darkness,

Unable to feel the sun's warm caress?

I order you to tell me,

What will happen when I cease to be."

"Young Master, I know you fear your demise,

You fear your pain, you fear your cries,

But everything has to die;

You know very well that I don't lie.

Even through your darkest fears,

Remember I'll be forever near.

You will reside inside of me,

And through my eyes, you shall see,

The sun falling, falling, at your feet.

For the sun is just another star,

That sears your mind with your own scars.

I promise all stars shall fall down, down, down,

And lie broken and bleeding on the ground,

I promise to bathe you in their sweet light,

To snuff out your every fright,

For I am their darkest blight,

And I'll always be your brightest night."
