Mirai started to fidget as Akihito stood before her. The dull pink-haired girl wondered why the blond looked so upset and why it looked to be directed straight at her.

"S-Senpai! Is there something the matter?" questioned the Spirit World Warrior, avoiding eye contact.

"Is there something the matter? Of course there's something the matter!" exclaimed the half-Youmu as he glared at Mirai, who flinched at his yelling. "Why the hell didn't you tell me you were struggling with money again?!"

Mirai pouted at the question. "How unpleasant."

"Don't give me that shit, Mirai. Just answer the question!" growled out Akihito, his eye twitching in annoyance.

"I-It's nothing! I j-just haven't found any Youmu!" squeaked out Mirai as she cleaned her glasses and avoided eye contact.

Glancing back slightly, Mirai noticed that Akihito was pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Mirai…you're a terrible liar, you know that, right?"

"How unpleasant!"

"What's the real reason you're not making any money? I thought you got over your fears."

"I did! It's just…" started Mirai, before fading into mumbles.

"What was that?"

"…People don't like my blog articles!"

Akihito had a blank look on his face as Mirai looked to be on the verge of crying. "What?"

"People keep ridiculing my articles about my bonsai trees! I've been trying to figure out why and make it stop!" cried out the girl.

This time Akihito went full facepalm. "Mirai, some things are more important than what people on the Internet think. There will always be trolls and there's nothing anyone can do about that."

"But the bonsais…"

"Don't worry your cute little head about that, Mirai. Just focus on earning money so you can live."

Mirai knew she had to kill Youmu to earn money, but she really wanted people to know about her bonsais. Why did life have to be so cruel to make things hard for her?

I've only watched a few minutes of Beyond the Boundary to get a slight grasp of the characters and I've learned one thing. Mirai is one of the cutest things to ever exist.
