Calcifer Uyugu sighed as he found Tris holed up in her room again, her nose stuck in a book.
"Tris dear, why are you cooped up inside on such a gloriously wonderful day?" Calcifer asked, his hands behind his back, looking politely interested. Ever since 'The Namorn Incident' as Calcifer called it, she had been reading more often, spending more time alone.
Snapping the tome shut, Tris glared at her common-law husband. "Because I wanted to finish the book." She said sharply.
"Tsk, Tsk Tris." Calcifer said, shaking his finger in mock condensation. "I know a hundred different things you could rather be doing." And suddenly, as if it had simply appeared there, Tris's book was in Calcifer's hands.
"Cal! Give it back!" Tris growled, stretching on her tippy-toes to reach the book.
"Nuh-uh." Calcifer said smugly. "Not until you give me what I want first."
Tris's eye's narrowed. "What do you want Calcifer?"
"Weeell, Mrs Uyugu," Calcifer grinned at the look of shock on her face, usually he never referenced their spousal status. "I really want to get out of the city today, so…" Calcifer was given only a second to react before Tris made a last ditch effort to get the book…and manage to knock them both sprawling onto the bed that dominated their bedroom.
"You know," Tris said, carefully taking off her clear spectacles. "I know something I want to do today."
Calcifer needed no more prompting as he promptly began ravishing his wife.

Downstairs, Daja, Briar, and Sandry all winced at the flood of feelings coming from their foster-sister.
"I'm all for a bit of fun." Briar said, grimacing. "But at least I block my mind before I jump their bones."
Sandry winced. "At least she's got someone." She muttered, attempting to block the massive emotions of lust and excitement coming from upstairs.
" That she does." Daja winced. "The way she has him wrapped around her finger…"
"Sickening." Briar said. "Men shouldn't let their women control them like that."
Daja snorted. "Going against Tris's wishes might not be in his best intrest Briar. I doubt anyone you've been with has had magic dancing in their hair."
Briar shuddered, and then winced at an image. "I didn't even know lightning could be used like that."
