Why?

"Why?"

The blond hair girl whispered, blue eyes staring up the brown haired girl. Crystal tears began to fall down her cheeks, glistening like the knife that the brown hair girl was holding. The only difference being that the knife was also red.

The blond haired girl stared at the brown haired one, her face pinched with pain and heartbreak. Both emotional and physical. The blond hair girl began to shake, blood spitting up her throat and out of her mouth like tomato juice. She looked down at the blade handle currently plunged into her stomach, the blade piercing through her pale skin, blood dripping down to the floor.

Pain radiated through her body. Like fire. Hell fire.

The blond hair girl stared back up at the brown haired girl. In horror, in shock, and in panic. Brown eyes wide as saucers. She shook, as she stared down at the knife gripped tightly in her hands. The girl backed away, stumbling and falling to the floor. She looked up as the blond haired girl stumbled and fell as well, hitting the ground with a heavy plunk. Blood began to pool out of her body, expanding in a red ocean. Ever conquering. Never ceasing.

The brown haired girl gasped again and again, panic filling her mind, and she stared at the fallen body of her companion. The blond haired girl pained to lift her head to stare at her and the gaze she gave her caused her to sob.

She opened her mouth to speak, blood dripping out and onto the floor. Her voice came out, a pained whisper.

"Why?"

Soon, she fell asleep and never woke up.

The brown haired girl was still sobbing, body being wrecked by tremors. She rocked back and forth in her bedroom, crying over and over again. Tears cascaded down her cheeks as her mind broke and her heart shattered.

"I'm sorry, Maya! I'm sorry Maya! I'm sorry!"

She ceased crying, blood staining her pajamas, hands, and face. Staining her with her sin. Forever.

She began to laugh, and laugh, and laugh, a shrill hysterical sound. Insane.

She grabbed her brown hair, clutching clumps of it into fists, and ripped them out of her scalp. It hurt but she didn't notice it. She was most likely bleeding, yet she didn't notice that either. All she noticed was that the blood looked so pretty. And that she wanted to see more of it.
