Jack's Angel Ch.1

Summary: Pre-Virus. Jack befriends a new girl named Amber. When
theystart to become best friends, Jack finds out that Amber wants more.
Will he take the love she is offering? Or, will they stay friends, and lose
the best thing they could have had?

Jack was sitting in his English 3, Honors class, just staring
at the floor. The teacher was going on about a book report that
was due in a month. Suddenly, the room falls silent. Jack looks
up from the floor, and his breath catches in his throat. A beautiful
girl with blonde hair walks in. Her voice is one of an angel, when
she asks if she has the right room. "Is this Mr. Freeman's English 3
Honors class?" The girl asks softly. You could tell that she was
nervous. The teacher turned and looked at the new girl. "I'm Mr.
Freeman, and yes, you have the right class. Amber, right?" Mr.
Freeman asks.

The blonde girl nods. "Yes, my name's Amber." She said, her
voice was still surprisingly soft. Mr. Freeman turns back to
his class. "Class, this is Amber Lanier, our new student. Let's
try and make her feel welcome here, shall we?" The teacher asks.
The class nods. Mr. Freeman turns back to Amber. He motions to
a boy with bright red hair. "Amber, why don't you take a seat
behind Jack. I'm sure he'd be happy to help you with any problems
you may find yourself having." The teacher said happily. Amber
nods, she grabs her bag and then goes and takes a seat behind Jack.

Right as Mr. Freeman was about to continue on with his lecture,
the bell rang to go home. As Amber gets up to leave, she pauses.
Having dropped a few books, she hurries back into the classroom.
As Amber walks back in the classroom, she noticed two boys, and
a dark-skinned girl corner Jack. She decides to speak up. "What
is going on?" Amber demands, dropping her things once more, and
walking up to the other four teenagers. The older of the two boys
who were picking on Jack, looked up." Who're you, and can't you
see we're busy?" The brown-haired boy asked.
