People die, and Yuna dances.
It's beautifully nostalgic and sad, the pyreflies swirling around her in a disorganized dance, which mocks the graceful sweep of her arms and the swish of her skirts against the ground. People cry, and all she can do is dance, while sorrow clouds minds and the full force of the realization that people you were just standing beside are gone. Somehow, you can all just be grateful for her dancing, because without it, you might one day be fighting your humanity-hating friends as fiends. Still, it's terrible, in a way. You don't want your friends to be gone; you don't want to let them go. You want to know if there's a way to bring them back, somehow, but you know that's wrong. You know that that would be going against the teachings of your oh-so precious religion.
So many people are accepting of their fate. The leaders, especially. Their faces are grim and tinged with hints of guilt, but they stand strait and tall and proclaim that it is their punishment for going away from the teachings of Yevon. You never really understood why people were so loyal to this Yevon-religion thingy, but it isn't your place to speak against it, and you've already gotten stares and pity and hate for speaking your opinion on it, so it's better to just keep your mouth shut.
You used to think she was pretty. Now, you aren't so sure.
Maybe you should be guilty. You can't sob; you can't even shed a single tear. This Kinoc guy- you don't trust him, do you? He knew all along this would happen. So, why would he? He's more guilty than you are. It isn't the fact that your bastard Father is the creature that's killed so many and ruined so many lives, but, then again, maybe it is. You want to cry, but you can't. Like a little kid, you want your Mom, and you want your old life back, and you want to go home. That isn't possible, though, and, are you really, really sure that you want to go back there?
That only makes you want to cry harder. The fact remains that you can't cry, and even as you realize she's dancing, you can't hate her for it. You can't hate her for anything. You can't hate her, since it's your Father's fault all these people died. In some roundabout way, it's your own fault, too. It's your Father's fault she's dancing.
People die. Yuna dances.
And you can never let yourself forget that its the fault of your Father.
