Pairing: Captain Jack Harkness/ Ianto Jones, "Janto", if you prefer.
Disclaimer: I don't own Torchwood, but would be deliriously happy if I did….
Author's Note: Just the fact that someone is reading this makes me happier than you could possibly imagine! Please no flames, I'm many things, but a pyromaniac is not one of them. But reviews containing constructive criticism are welcomed with open arms! This is my first fanfic, after all.
7am
Ianto rubbed his eyes slowly, not particularly wanting to greet the new day. At least, not until he could feel his legs again. He had spent the night sleeping with his lover, although very little "sleep" had actually taken place. Rolling over, he observed the cause of his insomnia, Captain Jack Harkness. Unsurprisingly, the Captain was still asleep; but then again Ianto's strong work ethic had always been his number one priority. Still staring at Jack's lovely slumbering visage, Ianto thought how ironic it was that Jack appeared so peaceful. 'How angelic,' he thought, "How misleading….' Jack Harkness might be an Angel in sleep, but when it came to anything more erotic than brushing his teeth, he was not. And Ianto had the scratches and bite marks to prove it….

Somehow, Ianto always ended up working the late shift at work. And when you work in a facility that monitors a rift so that human-munching Aliens can't get through, you can expect some pretty damn late nights. Of course, since Ianto was hired as, let's face it, a butler, he never understood why his presence was required so late into the night. However, Ianto Jones never complained, and there was one very simple reason for this: his boss. Captain Jack Harkness, as he called himself, was the single most fascinating person Ianto had ever met. Ever. Confident, enigmatic, gorgeous, Harkness was everything that Ianto himself fell short of. With only a few exceptions (one of which being the infamous "Cyberwoman Incident"; the other being that time he broke the coffee machine), he was sure his boss had never noticed his existence. Poor Ianto was not very perceptive, but fortunately for him, all his doubts would soon be erased….
Author's Note Part Two: Ooooh, can't you feel the tension? Unfortunately, I'm not in favor of instant gratification, so you'll have to wait until next chapter for the "good stuff". I'm only posting the next chapter (which will be longer, better, funnier, and hotter!) if I get some reviews, so send some my way or you'll never know what happens next!
