Molly smiled as she watched her husband play with their three sons.
It was rare during the war to have peaceful moments like this, and Molly wanted to savour every moment of happiness she could.
She worried constantly about what would happen if Arthur died. His work in the Misuse of Muggle Artifact Office pitted him right against the Death Eaters and what they were trying to achieve. He was an obvious target for them to make an example of, but hoped with all her heart that he would be left alone.
Especially now with these two coming, she thought, her hand resting on her belly.
She hadn't told Arthur the news yet, but Molly knew he would be overjoyed when he found out. She had planned to tell him tonight after dinner and the children had gone to bed.
A shriek of laughter brought Molly out of her thoughts and she watched as Charlie chased Bill around the room trying to get his toy dragon back.
"Bill, give that back to Charlie. You wouldn't like it if he took one of your toys," Arthur chided gently.
Bill dropped the dragon, and came racing towards her.
"Mummy, please can I have a drink?" he asked.
"Of course, Bill. Do you want some pumpkin juice?" Molly asked.
"Yes, please."
"Does Charlie and Percy's drinks need topping up, Arthur?"
"No, they're almost full still," he replied.
After getting Bill's drink ready, she went and sat down on the settee and watched them play some more.
After a while Percy climbed up onto Arthur's lap and fell asleep despite the noise his brothers were making. The sight made Molly's heart soar and she swore years later that she fell in love with him even more that afternoon.
Suddenly she couldn't wait to tell him the news and decided she would give him the present she had had made the last time she had been in Diagon Alley.
"I've got something for you, Arthur," Molly said holding out a small wooden box.
"You didn't have to get me anything, Mollywobbles," Arthur replied taking the package.
Once he opened it, Arthur's eyes went wide.
"We're having twins?" he asked emotionally.
"Yes."
"I love you, Molly. You've made me the happiest man alive," he said, as tears threatened to fall.
Bill and Charlie had come to investigate what was making their daddy cry.
"What's special about spoons?" Bill asked confused.
"They're not spoons, son, they're clock hands. You know mummy and daddy's special clock with our pictures on?" he asked.
Bill nodded.
"We get a new hand every time one of you is born. There are two in here which means you are going to have two new brothers, or sisters," Arthur explained.
"Do I have to get new brothers?" Bill asked, scrunching up his nose.
"I'm afraid so," Arthur chuckled.
"I don't want a brother. I want a sister."
"We can't choose if it's a boy, or a girl, Bill. We will be happy with either," Molly said.
"I still want a sister," he said.
"Me too," Charlie chimed in.
Later on when the children were in bed, Molly watched as Arthur attached the new hands to the clock. Nothing in that moment could ruin the happiness that her family gave her.
