You open the door and place your jacket on the coat hook. Today its oddly quiet and you know something's up when your daughter Erika isn't waiting around the corner to tackle you. You glance in the kitchen, ballroom, and even the playroom but the toddler is nowhere to be found. Walking up the spiral stairs, you stop when you here giggling along with a… bark coming from your wife, Elsa's study. Shaking your head, you convince yourself you're just hearing things and walk into your bedroom. After all, Elsa is usually still working which means that Erika is probably playing outside with Olaf and Sven. Also, you guys don't own a dog. You're exhausted from your workout at the gym and step into the shower.
In Elsa's Office
"Mommy look! She licked my hand!" The young girl excitedly shows her mom her wet hand. The older woman shakes her head, smiles, and runs her hand down the fur of the new puppy. "Do you wanna hold her Erika?" The toddler looks up at her mother and beams before vigorously nodding her head. Elsa places the small puppy into the arms of her waiting daughter and laughs when the puppy barks and licks Erika on the face. She gets up and returns to filling out trade papers while Erika continues to giggle and play with the puppy. Elsa realizes that its 5:00 and hasn't seen you all day but figures you must be getting a good workout. She'll tell you about the dog at dinner.
At dinner
You walk into the dining room and are met with your gorgeous wife and adorable daughter. They're both giggling but stop when they see you. You quirk an eyebrow and kiss your wife before sitting down next to her. "Hey Erika, I haven't seen you all day!" She smiles at you and eats her steak quietly. What is going on? Confused, you cut your steak and place it in your mouth. Normally, when Erika sees you, she launches into a VERY detailed explanation of how her day went but today she's abnormally quiet. You begin to think she is ill but Elsa, being the good mother she is, would have substituted soup for steak. Then you see the both of them steal a knowing glance and you've had enough. You hate secrets.
"Alright guys, what is going on?"
Erika giggles and smiles at you.
"Mommy can I tell him?" Elsa winks at Erika, "I think it would be better if you showed him sweetie." Erika grabs your hand and leads you to Elsa's office. Confused, you follow her in and wait patiently as she opens the closet. Familiar heels click behind you and Elsa enters the office. There's only one small chair and you're sitting on it so she sits on your lap. Finally Erika grabs a box shaped object from the closet and you hear barking. Your eyes widen when she pulls out a brown puppy and places it on Elsa's lap.
Elsa pets the puppy and says, "Meet our new puppy, Chase." You're surprised that Elsa would buy a puppy. She hands you the puppy and it licks you on the face. It's adorable. It jumps out of your arms and runs over to Erika. You kiss Elsa on the cheek and stand up. "Welcome to the family Chase."
