Taylor was in the middle of breakfast when Danny breezed in the room, so she didn't pay him much attention. But then she remembered the last time Danny had breezed into a room-- he'd been reunited with his old crush Kendall (and accidentally abandoned his best friend Max in the process of said reunion), which subsequently led Max to run off and get himself kidnapped and Danny just barely rescuing him in time-- and decided it might be a good idea to pay it some attention after all."You seem to be in a good mood," she commented as he grabbed an apple.
"And why wouldn't I be?" Danny practically sang. "It's a beautiful morning, full of promise."
Taylor raised an eyebrow. "If you say so." Danny was known to be overly cheerful at times, but usually not this early in the morning. All the more reason to believe that something-- or someone-- had put him in his current good mood.
She racked her brain as she tried to come up with a way to ask him about his night that didn't directly mention Kendall because it was well known that she was still a sore subject for Danny (although judging how he was acting right now, maybe she wasn't anymore?), but he was gone, saying that he was going to town to get some things before she could come up with anything.
And then Max breezed into the room.
"Good morning, Taylor! Have you seen Danny around?" Max didn't look too worried as he downed a glass of juice.
Now things were just getting weird. "... He went into town. If you hurry you might catch him."
Max blinked at her. "Really? I would've thought after what we did last night he'd be too tired to move." He shrugged as he went back to the room he shared with Danny. "I'm gonna get dressed and then try to find him, okay?"
Taylor frowned at her breakfast. Something had happened to Danny and Max last night for them to act like this. Now if she could only figure out what...
Her fork clattered to the floor as she remembered what Max had said.
She was so used to thinking of Max and Danny as being a couple of kids that even the idea of them kissing was a little unnerving. But now she couldn't get rid of mental images of them doing a lot more than just kissing...
"You okay, Taylor?" Alyssa glanced at her in concern as she slung her bookbag over her shoulders.
"... No, I'm fine. Danny and Max went out-- and they'll probably be out all day, just so you know." Taylor stood up. "As for me, I think I'm going to find something to get my mind off of things."
