A/N: This is my first attempt at writing fanfiction, so I hope it's not too lame. I do think microfiction is the perfect way to get my foot in the door though. I'm going with the first list because when I saw the word finger an image popped into my mind so I went with it. I hope to do them in the order listed (and my current plan is that each one will actually take place after the previous one, but no promises). This does start after the season finale, shortly after the birth of the baby

"Look Mommy he's holding my finger!"

Brennan's attention was pulled from her laptop toward the sound of her daughter's excited voice.

Christine was kneeling next to the baby who was lying on his activity blanket. He had Christine's finger clutched in his tiny hand.

"He must really like me Mommy. He's holding my finger so tight"

Brennan started to reply with facts "Babies are born with a grasp reflex…" Looking into her daughter's glowing eyes she stopped abruptly, and then smiled.

"Yes sweetheart. You're his big sister, he loves you very much. That's certainly why he's grasping your finger"

"Just like I do with Daddy." Christine nodded.

"Yes, just like that." Brennan had moved to kneel beside Christine and reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind Christine's ear thinking that while she did believe in always being truthful with children, this wasn't a lie; it was just helping the sibling bond to blossom between her offspring.

Christine had appeared to be having difficulty connecting with the new baby, and just maybe baby Hank had solved that issue all on his own.

Brennan watched as Christine gently shook the finger the baby was holding and spoke softly to him as he gurgled up at her.

As she watched them, Brennan reflected back on the time that she was certain she'd never want children of her own and was newly amazed at how different her life was now.

Bemused, Brennan stood to return to the work she was doing on her next novel when Booth entered the room.

"What is my loving family up to this fine afternoon?"

Brennan smiled at Booth and tilting her head toward the children just said. "Loving."

Noticing Booth, Christine ran up to him and jumping up and down said "Hank loves me, Daddy."
