Missing

Kishu-Ichigo

(Do not own song lyrics, song is missing by evanescence.)

WARNING: angst character death, sadness YOU WILL CRY!

Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.

Kishu smiled sadly and looked around at his empty room one last time. He resolved to leave, if Ichigo didn't love him, he couldn't stand to kill her. The smile turned into a frown as a tear escaped the alien's eyes. He let out a shaky sigh and turned his thoughts to his 'brothers.'

Maybe someday you'll look up,
And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:
"Isn't something missing?"

He knew neither Pai nor Taruto would notice his absence until it was too late. His tears now ran bitter as he thought of his two comrades. How they react, when they found out? He knew though, he didn't have to wonder what they wouldn't do. He again thought of the pink mew cat he loves.

You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago.
Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...?

Her words rang in his head like an echo in a cave. "Maysa is my one true love. Not you. Never!" Kishu bowed his head, dark shading his hurt eyes and allowing the steady stream of water flow onto the floor. No one would care, he was a failure to deep blue already. No one would see if he would just… disappear.

Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

Even though I'm the sacrifice,
You won't try for me, not now.
Though I'd die to know you love me,
I'm all alone.
Isn't someone missing me?

Kishu knows what the two thought of his loving Ichigo. He would give his life, he is giving his life, for her. She doesn't love him and never will. He knows. He knows full well he is alone. He is more human, Kishu realizes, than he is an alien.

Kishu teleports to the city building, where he could hardly see the ground. The cars traveling at high speeds looked like ants. He leaned over, watching the night lights for the last time. "I will forever love you, Ichigo. Even if you will forever not love me." His words tinted with pain. He took a breath, leaned over the edge.

And fell.

Please, please forgive me,
But I won't be home again.
