Kagome held up the completed Shikon No Tama. The jewel glowed brightly in her hand. The others, excluding Sesshomaru and Kouga, stared at the jewel in awe. It had been a long time since they had seen the jewel whole. Sesshomaru and Inuyasha put aside their difference and worked as a team to defeat Naraku. It was Kagome's arrow that had finally killed the bastard.

"Miroku. Is your wind tunnel gone?" Kagome asked looking at the monk. Miroku slowly unwrapped the prayer beads around his hand. Hos palm faced the forest floor, for safety reasons. When nothing happened his raised his hand to his face. A smile then graced his lips as he turned his hand around for everyone to see. No wind tunnel.

Sango threw her arms around Miroku and cried tears of happiness.

Kagome smiled and stole a glance at Inuyasha. He had his arms wrappedd around the dead priestess Kikyo. Kagome still loved him but she was slowly healing. She knew that Inuyasha was still in love with Kikyo. Kagome turned from the two and looked at Kouga. He had a smile on his face. Probably happy that he was able to finally avenge his fallen clan members. Sesshomaru was. surprisingly, still there. He stood there, looking at the spot where Naraku once was. Kagome stood beside him.

"Miko. What do you plan to do with the jewel?" Sesshomaru asked

"Hmmm. Im not entirely sure yet," she said.

"I suggest you destory it," he glanced down at the small woman that stood beside him. Though she was human, he had a high respect for her. Not only had she healed his arm before the final battle but she had saved and taken care of his ward, Rin, countless times.

"Why's that?" She raised an eyebrow at the stoic demon lord.

"I do not wish for another threat, such as Naraku, to be reincarnated," he answered coldy. Kagome smiled.

"Same here. For the jewel to be completely destoryed and never to come back to this world a pure wish is to be made," Kagome sighed as she stared at the Jewel that had caused so much chaos throughout the land. Sesshomaru had explained that Naraku had caused such an uproar that the other lord were displeased as well and were on the verge of war.

"I must go and announce that the threat has been elimated or there will be war between the lords. Farewell Miko," with that said Sesshomaru disappeared in a silver blur.

"Lady Kagome!" Miroku called. Kagome turned towards them.

"What is it?"

"Have you decided a wish on the jewel?" Sango asked.

"Actually I have," She smiled.

Everyone gathered in a circle around her.

Kagome closed her hands around the jewel,"I wish for the jewel to forever be rid of this world." The jewel glowed brightly, causing everyone to cover their eyes. The jewel shot into the air with lightning speed and shattered like glass. Pink lights drifted towards they ground and disappeared much like fireworks.

"Thank you," The voice of Midoriko echoed throughout the field they were in. Miroku silently prayed for her to finally rest in peace.

"What are you going to do now Kagome?" Sango looked at her bestfriend. Kagome shrugged.

"Im not sure. Go home and try to live a normal life," she replied.

"We'll walk you to the well," Miroku said.

"Kagome," She looked at Inuyasha.

"Hmm?"

"Thanks...for everything. Im...going to miss you when you're gone," He stepped towards her and wrapped his arms around her.

"Me too Inuyasha," She whispered returning the hug. When they pulled apart, Kagome removed the beads around his neck.

"Come on," he smiled, glanced at Kikyo who nodded. and the group made their way to the well.

"Momma..." Shippo cried.

Kagome bent down and hugged the fox demon she had come to see as a son.

"Shippo...we'll meet again. You will just have to find me in 500 years," Kagome gave the small demon a slight squeeze before releasing him. Shippo dried away his tears as Kagome sat on the rim of the well. She glanced over her shoulder one last time and smiled. Everyone waved goodbye as she dropped down into the well. The familar blue light surrounded her but began to fade into a grayish color. Kagome began to slightly panic. When she finally landed, none too gracefully, she looked up and nearly fell over from shock and maybe a little fear. Instead of seeing the roof to the well house she looked up to see a blue sky. What actually scared her was the fact that the sun had a face.

She took a deep breath and made her way out of the well. When she finally made it the top she stared in shock at her surroundings.

"I've landed in a god forsaken desert!" She yelled. Kagome angrily turned to the well and kicked it, resulting in a bruised foot,"I hate this thing!"

After blowing off a lot of steam she finally slung her quiver of arrows, bow and her bag over her shoulder and began her quest through the desert praying she will find a town or village soon.

After what seemed like hours of traveling in the desert, Kagome collapsed to her knees. She looked forward seeing two figures heading her way. She paid no mind to it though.

"Great...my mind is playing tricks on me," she thought before darkness claimed her.

Soul and Maka had just finished collecting another Kishin soul and where on their way back to Death City when suddenly Maka stopped.

"What is it?" Soul asked

"I-I don't know. I just have a strange feeling..."Maka muttered.

"What kind of feeling?"

"I don't know Soul!" She snapped. Maka decided to follow her gut.

"Hey Maka,"Soul started.

"What?"

"I think you were right.."He pointed out in the distance where he spotted a strangely dressed woman. Maka squinted her eyes in the direction he was pointing. Then the woman collapsed.

Maka and Soul looked at one another before sprinting in her direction.

A/N:
So I've rewritting this series because I don't like how it turned out...not one bit. It's too short and well...plain horrible.

Anywho tell me what you think of the NEW chapter update.
