"Come on, Jinora! Have some fun with all of us for once!" Korra called from a few yards away. Jinora had sat herself on a bench under a tree. They had gone to the park, and she was dragged along. She had objected and complained, but she clearly lost the battle. So there she was, on the bench, her new book on her lap. "Korra, I already told you no. I'm trying to read," she responded. The Avatar frowned and started to walk over, but was stopped by Ikki, who poked Korra's arm, and said, "You're it!" before running off. Korra looked at Jinora, sighed, and chased after the young girl, who had jumped onto a ball of air to be faster. Jinora smirked at her good luck and opened her book.

After a few minutes, Jinora felt like she was being watched. She looked around, thinking that maybe one of her siblings or Korra was around, but she didn't see them. Shrugging, she went back to her book. A few more minutes went by, and the feeling came back. She lowered her book and looked behind her. Squinting, she saw the glint of a pair of eyes in a bush. They vanished a split second after she noticed them. "Okay…maybe I'm just seeing things," she muttered to herself, slowly facing forward again.

Then she heard the rustle of the leaves above her head, one floating down to her lap a few seconds after. Looking up, her eye twitched. There he was, hiding behind the leaves in the tree. He noticed her looking at him and started to get off the branch, but he wasn't fast enough. Jinora raised her hand and moved it in a circle, creating a gust of wind. A loud curse sounded before Skoochy tumbled out of the tree and onto the ground behind the bench. "What do you want?" the air bender huffed, looking at the boy over her shoulder.

"Spirits, that hurt," Skoochy grumbled, standing up and dusting himself off. He put a hand of his hip and straightened his hat before answering her question, "Just wanted to say 'hi.' Is that such a crime?" Jinora gave him an un-amused look, her eyebrow raised. He held his hands up. "What?"

Jinora hit her forehead with her palm and sighed. "Then why were you sneaking around…?" she asked slowly. He put on a guilty/troubled look. Rubbing his neck and muttered something. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

"I, uh…kind of…might have….been caught picking pockets…?" he said a bit louder. "No. Ugh, you're such an idiot." He put on an offended look at that remark. "Why do you get yourself into these messes? Do you want me to help again?" she then asked with a hint of annoyance in her voice. He tapped his index fingers together and looked off the side, a small embarrassed smile on his face. "Uh….if you wouldn't mind."

"Again, you are an idiot," Jinora murmured. "All right, I'll talk to the officer when he shows up. Just…go back to hiding in the tree." Skoochy huffed, but did as he was told and climbed back into the tree. With him back up in the branches, she could finally get back to reading.

Within the next half-hour, she had smoothed things out with the officer, but not without some smart remarks from the girl. A few minutes after the officer had left, Skoochy dropped down from the branch. After looking around one last time he walked around the bench and sat down, hands on lap. "So, uh….thanks…" he said after a moment. Jinora turned the page in her book and glanced over at him. "Not a problem," she sighed.

"Seriously though, thanks…" He leaned over and pecked her cheek before getting up with a grin on his face. "Talk to you later!" he said before running off. Jinora, cheeks red, watched him run off. With a huff she went back to her book.
